when i got to create a custom profile then import a previously created profile butt no zip files show up so i cant install the modpack

i created the modpack and sent it to a friend and was screensharing to help them install the modpack but it doesnt show up when they try to import the mod

but it works fine on my computer

If it's not there, it isn't downloaded.

Now show the original folder next to it that should have the zips in it

Put them in a new folder on your desktop, then open the original folder next to the file browser of curseforge.

No, one is at quick access: desktop, other at pc: desktop, make sure that they are at the same place.
Hell, you can copy paste the paths!

if it's approved in a project and you have at least 1 version flagged as release (not alpha or beta) then it will eventually update to show in launcher searches

Fabric modpacks or the use Fabric mods require you to install a mod called Jumploader.
Fabric mods do not work with Forge.
Forge mods do not work with Fabric.

Fabric mods should be marked with a Fabric Icon like this:

it hijacks forge installs to make it a fabric modpack - and it ignores forge mods. that is the only way fabric works with the CF launcher for now

I made a minecraft world a couple of months back and wanted to play again recently. When I opened curseforge today it had me relog in and all of the mods I had downloaded were gone. Was it because of updates to the app or is the problem on my end?

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

drained - it's not rocket science. click 'browse modpacks'. type out the name. click install.

for a single mod you have to click 'create custom profile' at the top, and then select the minecraft version that custom profile will be - then click add content button and search for the mod to install

I am having an issue with the export of a custom modpack. Since I added the mod: appliedenergistics2-8.2.0.jar, the file that is generated seems to be wrong. It says that this mod is included in the zipfile and not in the JSON manifest file. But I don't have a clue as to why it does that. Anybody had this issue before as well?

I am still having issues with generating the export file.
I have tried reinstalling the mod a few times now, does not work.

I think part of the issue lies with the fact that my pack is 1.16.5 and the mod is released for 1.16.4. It does work though both on server and client, but in the curse client I can't add the mod. I have to download the latest file on curseForge and then drop it in my mods folder.

I have tried making a 1.16.4 pack and then copying the manifest entry for the mod into the manifest file of my main modpack but that also did not work.

Not really sure what other things I can try now.

Hey, um, I've been having a pretty big problem recently.
I'm trying to create a modpack for myself, and possibly for the public... but, uh.

It was working fine up until yesterday. Yesterday, I suddenly stopped being able to load any minecraft worlds. It goes to the "Reading World Data" screen if I was playing an already created world or the "Preparing for world creation" screen if i was making a new one, and then it just.... freezes on that screen.

Hey so a weird thing happened, i have about 48 mods downloaded all working fine and loading correctly. However, they are not showing up on the curse forge app as installed. I installed them all through the app so I don't understand what's happening. It only says there's 20 mods downloaded.

There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

CurseForge REQUIRE a project to have one file marked Released on them for the projects to show up in search. Otherwise only Direct links to the project work.

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.
