If you own a Minecraft account, but trying to log in using the CurseForge app is not working, try these things:
If at any step it suddenly works, you do not need to continue with the rest.

1. Check your internet connection and try again. You can try opening some tabs in your browser or other tests to make sure you are online.
2. Restart the CurseForge App and try again.
3. Verify that the account login information is actually correct, no wrong email, typo, etc, then try again. If you don't remember your credentials, contact Microsoft Support. CurseForge has nothing to do with it.

1. Click the zCFsettings in the bottom left corner of the App.
2. Select Minecraft Minecraft.
3. Change the launch option from CurseForge App to Mojang Launcher.

This will change how the game launches and instead of requiring you to log in via the App it will open a copy of the Mojang Launcher.

Setting prefer IPv4 stack to Minecraft

Occasionally the Minecraft game when launched tries to use the IPv6 stack to contact Minecraft authorization (auth) services.
Usually this is when trying to join a server but can also happen because of mods trying to contact services.

  • To set the game to prefer using the IPv4 stack - put the following string in the 'Additional Arguments' box.
    -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
    • The text box is located in Curseforge App settings zCFsettings > Minecraft tab grass > scroll to bottom of window

Hello, I have a long term issue that I would like to be assisted on.
My Curseforge app seems to become completely corrupted.
I personally only use Curseforge for Minecraft modding and recently whenever I open a modpack It takes forever to load the mods and even if It loads It just says "an unknown issue has occured" (and saves no logs).
Very rarely It does open profiles normally but It is starting to really annoy me

Hello! I had curseforge installed on my computer but then it disappeared. When I searched for it in my Windows nothing comes up except the installer that I had used years ago when I initially downloaded the app. I went into my settings/apps and saw that it was installed. trying to launch it was impossible so I decided to uninstall it and redownload the app since I had an account and believed my data to be safe. I initially tried to reinstall the standalone app with the installer that I already had on my computer. Doing that ended up giving me an error claiming a connection issue. Despite being connected to the internet I switched WIFI's and even tried on a mobile hotspot but it still gave me the same error. I thought maybe the installer had changed so I went to the site and tried the reinstall the stand alone app. When doing this I run into another issue. It loads up a page and says that the site cannot be reached because the DNS address could not be found. When it tried to diagnose the problem it wanted me to check if the spelling was correct for the address. I didnt touch the address so the spelling was fine. I then ran Windows Network Diagnostics and everything was connected and running. The same issue occurs when I try and get the overwolf installer. I am at a stand still and really do not know how to move forward from here. Please help at your earliest convenience.

Changing your DNS server

Microsoft login issues with the CurseForge App

If you own a Minecraft account, but trying to log in using the CurseForge app is not working, try these things:
If at any step it suddenly works, you do not need to continue with the rest.

1. Check your internet connection and try again. You can try opening some tabs in your browser or other tests to make sure you are online.
2. Restart the CurseForge App and try again.
3. Verify that the account login information is actually correct, no wrong email, typo, etc, then try again. If you don't remember your credentials, contact Microsoft Support. CurseForge has nothing to do with it.

šŸ”¹ If none of these methods worked, do this:

1. Click the zCFsettings in the bottom left corner of the App.
2. Select Minecraft Minecraft.
3. Change the launch option from CurseForge App to Mojang Launcher.

This will change how the game launches and instead of requiring you to log in via the App it will open a copy of the Mojang Launcher.

It just opens the app period in the background, for a easy access to turn it on. Unless you have it switched on to enable on startup, then you need to disable that in Warp itself.

The reason you can't access CurseForge is that GoodbyeDPI's packet fragmentation interferes with its connection. To fix this, just create a blacklist in your GoodbyeDPI folder and add only the blocked sites (like Discord/Roblox) to that list. This keeps CurseForge outside the DPI's scope and fixes the error instantly.

On my old PC, I created a modpack using the Curseforge app, and since I had to sell it, I saved the entire folder for version 1.20.1 that I was using to my drive. This included my world, mods, etc. Today, on my new PC, I just downloaded Minecraft and the Curseforge app, and I'd like to know how to use that saved folder. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it.
