Microsoft login issues with the CurseForge App

If you own a Minecraft account, but trying to log in using the CurseForge app is not working, try these things:
If at any step it suddenly works, you do not need to continue with the rest.

1. Check your internet connection and try again. You can try opening some tabs in your browser or other tests to make sure you are online.
2. Restart the CurseForge App and try again.
3. Verify that the account login information is actually correct, no wrong email, typo, etc, then try again. If you don't remember your credentials, contact Microsoft Support. CurseForge has nothing to do with it.

🔹 If none of these methods worked, do this:

1. Click the in the bottom left corner of the App.
2. Select Minecraft.
3. Change the launch option from CurseForge App to Mojang Launcher.

Can you try to change the modding path to the C drive? Secondary drives are sometime slower due to how Windows handle them, and they can have permission issues which could be why it's stuck

Hi, I'm still experiencing an issue with curseforge where I can't use the filters or the sort by features when trying to browse modpacks. I have tried deleting and redownloading it, there's nothing in settings that i can find that would effect that so I'm still very lost

Cant login in app. I successfully login on website and after pressing "Open App" on "Login Successful" screen nothing happens.
Also mods in Browse tab in app shows nothing.
And... Well, even if I from really disgusting country (ru), I use several proxies and tried full-tunnel desicions (via xray, awg etc) - zero result. Website works fine even w/o any net-interseption tools but app looks dead (on net-side ofc).
Eventvwr shows no resolving issues, nslookup (win client) and dig (-nix proxies) works perfectly for any curseforge-like (*.curseforge.com, *.overwolf.com and 2lvl domians w/o wildcard), cloudflare subnets (104.17.0.0/16, 104.18.0.0/16) fully reachable, no firewall rules to block only CurseForgeApp ruunning. Logs show only "protocol mismatch" - but why? Where is bottleneck? I dont use tun2socks or some kind. Help pls :c

Well, nvm, I fix it by self. I added env HTTPS_PROXY and forgot about it. CurseForge cant work with HTTPS_PROXY env.
For future search: CurseForge fails on local https proxy interceptors. If you are using xray/signbox and make separate lan-port by any reason and set it into environment - for Node- or Electron-based apps for example - make sure that other apps can also work with it. In other way make .bat for per-session launch with needed env keys.

Was not familiar with that policy. I guess I kind of understand it, though; each file is manually reviewed by staff, and it would definitely take a toll. Looking at your original message, though, it appears the top file is a seperate entity to the rest (Judging by the file sizes) Given the MCAddon extension, that is a different type of addon to the others; it contains a RP and a BP in it, while the other files only contain one of those.

Doesn't excuse the other three, but I do believe it does the top one, as it is a different type to some regard.

I need help. I changed the version too many times to try to find the right mods. Curseforge said to uninstall chosen create-integrated and reinstall it. When I tried to do that, it deleted all of my worlds in my saves folder. Hi everyone, I'm not sure whether to post this issue here or in minecraft, but recently I've been unable to load some instances of minecraft from curseforge, I have a few, ATM 10, Prominence and DeceasedCraft (+ others I haven't tested so won't mention), the only one currently working is Prominence, I click play and minecraft opens normally, but both DeceasedCraft and ATM 10 don't.

The issue is I click play and the curseforge launcher starts, gives me some logs but gets stuck in "Waiting for the game to launch"

I have changed some few mods on ATM 10 and Prominence, but not on DeceasedCraft, which is strange. I've tried uninstalling curseforge, executing as admin, restarting my pc, repairing installations and profiles.

If the curseforge launcher isnt working, can try switching the the Mojang launcher option in thhe apps settings.

Hello, Im having an issue with downloading modpacks.
For around a month now, Im having constant trouble downloading minecraft (java) modpacks. Whenever I try to download a modpack, the download fails and I get a "An unexpected error occured. Operation failed." Error message. I dont have a vpn program, nor do I use any other antivirus program other than windows defender. I tried troubleshooting by deactivating the antivirus and by completely reinstalling curseforge, including deleting all the previous curseforge folders, but it didnt help at all. I checked the log, and this is the error message I keep getting:

Ive never had this issue before, and like I stated before, it randomly started happening around a month ago. The thing is, sometimes the download will go through without breaking the connection and the download is successful. However, 95% of the time I'd say, the connection breaks either as soon as the mods start downloading, or a little further down the road. So, has this happened to anyone before? Is there a possible fix? I'd greatly appreciate a response.

Hey I've had multiple issues with logging or my login session expiring between instances of using curseforge. Is there a known issue and/or solution so I don't have to login every other time I boot up curseforge? Also the login fails multiple times, and I've gotten around it by just trying over and over again, changing nothing, and eventually it works but obviously that gets irritating. Is there a known solution for that as well?

If the Mojang Launcher does not register you own the game, there is something wrong and your account effectively does not own it.

Try logging in to https://minecraft.net and seeing if it shows the option to buy Java Edition or if it shows it’s owned.
Make sure the Microsoft account is the correct one

Bonus question; Did you migrate your account from Mojang to Microsoft some years ago when it was required?

If you did migrate your account & if you’re sure that account owns the game, but it’s still not shown, only option is to try contacting Microsoft Support
