I ran into this issue. I saw your message as the most recent post about it and then @ocean lichen's followup. I followed his link and then, as per the "CurseForge Plugin" section suggestion, I uninstalled CurseForge and installed the link provided (https://download.overwolf.com/install/Download?&PartnerId=4047). The installer gave an ominous (can't connect?) message also. I didn't record it and my internet and dns is working fine. curse forge.exe is fully allowed with my firewall and i haven't had a firewall issue in years.

tldr; after the installer above looked like it wasn't working... i ran overwolf and when it popped up it auto-opened curseforge (and warcraft logs fwiw). I closed them all and was able to successfully open curseforge after all of that. maybe this helps you too

Is there a way to make it so I can download resource packs for my instance that are not the exact version. Most resource packs still work even if they are not the exact version. I know you can bypass this by going into the actual folder and pasting it but that’s time consuming. is there a way to make it that when you browse stuff for the instance that it does not hide the “outdated mods”?

I definitely have enough space on the HDD drive (the larger drive), all the profiles combined are a few dozen gigs. Curseforge successfully moved all profiles except for the ATM10 profile, strange why I got an error now when I think I succesfully moved them previously..

Hello there! I transferred my Minecraft world along with its mods to CurseForge because the game kept crashing shortly after loading into my world. That’s why I wanted to try it through CurseForge, since larger modpacks with 100+ mods usually don’t crash for me. Before that, I added and updated a few mods, but that didn’t improve anything, so I reverted those changes. Now, when I try to start Minecraft via CurseForge, only the red loading screen appears for a few seconds and then closes again, as shown in the video. Additionally, I have already tried allocating more RAM, but that didn’t improve the situation either.

How to add/remove mods in a modpack:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.

4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

Is anybody else having an issue where looking up an author's name in the search only yields a small subset of their mods (or none at all). For example, looking up "YaLTeR", you would expect to see MouseTweaks, but it says "No Results". Looking up "BlayTheNinth" shows some of his mods, but not Waystones or Crafting Tweaks. Hii, Ever since the last two updates i notice that Curseforge starts to slow down after on and about 5 minutes to where it even freezes entirely every 10 minutes or so. I have to keep on completely shutting off curseforge before i can continue again. Ever since those updates any minecraft modded (no matter which versions, which mods are in it, updated of not) has been badly lagging too and freezing up way more than usual.

I tried my wifi, i cleaned my macbook, i deleted mods and modpacks i stopped using, completely deleted and reinstalled curseforge, turned off or completely deleted certain mods, tried smaller modpacks, i removed any other game from my curseforge even removed. Add these domain names inside the general-list.txt file of Zapret:

Then try every alts one by one. Everytime you change the alt you must restart CurseForge and do a repair installation.

3. Click Repair Installation option.

1. Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
2. Click on the button next to the play button.
3. Click on the Profile Options button.
4. Select the mod loader version you want from the dropdown.
5. Play!

If you need to update to a new game version, a new profile is required.

1. Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Open the logs folder.

I’m having an issue launching Minecraft through CurseForge. I installed a modpack, but when I click “Play”, it immediately shows “Kill Instance” and the game never actually opens or reaches the main menu. I previously had crashes related to Essential mod (gg.essential, kotlin, okhttp errors), so I removed Essential and cleared config and logs, but the problem still persists. In Task Manager, I don’t see Minecraft or java.exe running properly—only Java Update sometimes appears. I’m using the latest version of Minecraft, so I’m not sure what’s causing this. Does anyone know how to fix this?
