Yep seems the path did change. Your packs are in the B:\Curse forge\instances folder on your pc.

Either need to:

1. copy them from the old instances folder to the new
2. Reinstall the packs and copy the saves and such from the old packs location
3. Can try changing the path back, but the app tends to reset the path for a reason

Hello, I have a problem with Minecraft. Some modpacks don't work well even after I upgraded my PC. The frame rate is bad and the game sometimes crashes me, even though my PC is good for mods. I don't know if there's something in Curs Forge I need to adjust or if I did something wrong, or if I need to do something from within the game. I'm playing pre-made modpacks, and other players have tried them without problems and with good frame rates. Is there a way to play the game without these problems, even with pre-made modpacks that are supposed to be good?
Regarding the frame rate issue, I've seen some people playing on weaker devices than mine with better frame rates. Is there any way to fix it?

nope, its a qol thing. Either you press play in the cf app and the game starts up immediately OR you press play in the CF app, a mc launcher opens then you press play again

Both load the same launcher files, both load the same modpack files. Only difference is how you log in and how many times you have to press a play button.

For the launcher option? Its user choice. Either option doesnt change how the game plays. Just how you start the game loading.

I am currently experiencing an issue with Forge on Minecraft 1.16.5.

I am trying to install the “Mine Mine no Mi” mod, but I receive an error message stating that the mod requires Forge version 36.2.39 or higher. At the moment, my Forge version is 36.2.34.

When I attempt to update Forge through CurseForge, I am unable to select or install version 36.2.39 (or any newer 36.2.x version). It seems that the update option is either locked or unavailable in my current profile.

Could you please guide me on the correct procedure to update Forge to the required version while staying on Minecraft 1.16.5?

I made a mod pack, I have Minecraft and when i press play on the modpack it doesn't show up as having any of my mods. I tried fabric, and it was in my actual launcher, pressed play, didn't work. i fixed my zip files making sure they have java runtime next to them, didn't work. How to add/remove mods in a modpack:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.

4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

I downloaded the latest curseforge app and now addon update is massively slow, going to 33% right away and then taking 1-2 minutes to finish. It used to do so well. Now, not so much.

The only thing different is that Windows 11 claimed there were missing features and that I had to download a fix. The only thing I don't know is what has changed in my settings. In my virus I made and exception but that didn't do anything.

FYI, all other files on my computer work fine, it's just this addon manager.

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. Changing the path doesnt confuse the app, longer paths just mean more work the app has to read. As the reading doesnt stop when it hits the packs folder.
