That happens because when exporting the pack u select saves folder so when someone updates the pack it overrides the saves the user has with the saves in the pack

i guess and it seems correct so going around it youd need to upload the world to curseforge instead of exporting a pack with it in saves folder

I have a modpack that comes with a pre-made world ( 1.20.1 ) so when exporting i also click the saves box so players have the world to play on.

When i release an update and someone installs it on the same instance they've been playing their saves folder should get wiped and only have a fresh version of the pre-made world right? Since its going to overwrite the saves folder they have.

So whats the play here that doesnt happen. They update the pack but their worlds stay but also the pre-made world is still available.

Cuz lowkey some guy is saying he lost his world but like noone else never ever complained about this so idk if all those people always saved their worlds / never updated the pack and played the same version or they did lost their worlds but never came and said anything or they did update but their worlds stayed without wiping somehow

Hello, can anyone help me with a problem I'm having updating my downloaded mods? I've had it before and normally it stops after a day or two but I'm tired of putting up with it for days every time it happens, so I wanted to know if anyone knew of a fix.

I might delete this from my discord list just so I don't get notifications from it, but I managed to figure it out for me at least, if anyone has this problem, what worked for me was closing curseforge, reopening it, starting the installation, canceling the installation a moment later, immediately going out and looking at the main list of mods for Minecraft(the game I was trying to update)(likely not necessary just giving an exact play by play of what I did), then waiting for it to register the cancel, went back in and told it to update the mod version again, went out again(again likely not necessary) then voila! It worked.

my curseforge modlist has been failing to display any mods
all the mods are there, when i launch the game they all load, but on the app they don't display at all
and i kinda need them, since i like keeping all my mods up to date
sometimes when i refresh 1 or 2 mods DO show up
but most of the time, they are not even IN the modpack
sometimes the mods will be for a version that phobophobia isn't even on
for example, this mod called "simple ostriches" is the one that shows up the most
not only is that mod NOT in the modpack, it is for 1.15.2, phobophobia is on 1.19.2

another thing is, i don't really download mods normally, i drag them in bulk, but i have never had an issue doing that in the past

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
3. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter

Hi, I'm running into a problem - I have multiple versions of World of Warcraft installed, Retail, Classic Era, Classic Mists of Pandaria, and Classic Anniversary TBC. I created a new Sync profile for those since my old sync profile was created while Lich King was active, so I cannot delete every PC from it, because Lich King instances don't exist anymore. I went to my second computer, and I installed only Classic Anniversary TBC, yet when I went tosync the profile, it installed a bunch of addons from the other instances/versions of WoW, and not all the ones I had synced up from my first computer. I had to go in and delete ones that it downloaded, download other ones, and then tell it not to sync anymore - is there a reason it doesn't only take from the same version of the game? Like it should only look at Classic Anniversary TBC version on the sync profile when it downloads the addons, right? And I thought "well, I'll just make a profile for each version" - nope, it appears you can only make 2 profiles. Help?

I’m getting a crash on Minecraft Fabric 1.21.1 as soon as I click “Singleplayer”.

Context:

I’m creating a private modpack to play with friends. I reused the Cobbleverse base (datapacks, resourcepacks, shaderpacks), but I only kept some of the .jar mods along with their configs.

After some testing, the issue seems to be related to GlobalPacks:

the game launches normally if I remove COBBLEVERSE-DP-v17-CF.zip
as soon as this datapack is present, clicking “Singleplayer” causes the game to crash

If anyone knows why this datapack causes issues with GlobalPacks or how to fix/adapt it, I’d really appreciate the help.

It’s possible that something is missing from my modpack that I may have forgotten to copy over from Cobbleverse, but I haven’t been able to identify what exactly yet.

big issues: Standalone CurseForge app installer without the overwolf edition fails with "An error occurred during app startup. Core service not connected" screenshots attached. Overwolf version gives connection error on startup too about the connection.

So, i wanted to know if there's a way of fixing something with my sims 4 mods. I had the sims installed for a long time but my game broke because of the Basemental drugs mod and then i uninstalled it and did the same to all the mods i had (all from curseforge). But when i installed the game again yesterday, scanned for my sims 4 folder and installed all of my mods again, it divided between the mods i already had before the game broke and the New mods i installed. Yes. The tech team is aware of the issue. As far as I can tell the cause is not visible in the app logs and is not reproducible, we also didn't find any correlation to point out the root cause of the issue.

The reports are pretty rare which doesn't help things, I am only seeing 1 or 2 similar reports every months in average.

If you could get these people to create a ticket and give the ticket numbers, I can ping the tech team about this.

"The Obsessed" mod requires Forge or NeoForge depending on the modloader.
If you want to play Minecraft 1.20.1, you will need to use Forge.
If you want to play Minecraft 1.21.1, you will need to use NeoForge.

Uhhh, so this happened to me twice already, but basically my Java Minecraft game crashed, so when the curseforge launcher pulled back up, it was stuck on “kill instance” and if I press it, it doesn’t do anything and eventually crashes. ChatGPT isn’t any help so ts is my last resort…. Pls help 🙏
