Anyways, back to my issue, so when i try to open up the launcher through CF, i suddenly get logged out and logging back in had everything look corrupted and scary, while also trying to log in will just give me an error

I also tried repairing the launcher and restarted my pc but it’s still the same

the only thing like that you can do is right click a profile and 'clone as...' and choose a different minecraft version. usually it doesn't work very well as many mods have files published for some versions and not others, and other complications

This could not have been the issue

CurseForge is using its own Java which is independent of the one used by your system. Updating Java do not change the Java used by CurseForge.

The issue you are experienced is known to be random, not always occuring and sometime waiting is enough to make the issue disappears. This is making sense in some situations, updating Java doesn't.

double check your whole profile for this resource pack. if it's not there still do 'repair profile' from the profile menu > make another export zip. then DONT upload it - open the export zip you made and actually look in the manifest.json for the ID number

if it's a resource pack it will not be in mods. it will either be in the resroucepacks folder, OR if you use a global loading mod it will be in that mod's special folder (usually in `configs)

I am having an issue with CurseForge not detecting ARK: Survival Ascended, even though the game is correctly installed via Steam.

My setup:
Game: ARK: Survival Ascended
Platform: Steam
Operating System: Windows
Steam Library path (custom):
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\

The game launches normally through Steam and the executable is present in the correct folder.
However, CurseForge does not detect the game automatically, and when I try to add it manually, I receive the message “Game not found”, even when selecting the folder that contains the game executable.

What I already tried:
Restarting CurseForge and Steam
Running CurseForge as administrator
Rescanning for games
Manually selecting the installation directory
Verifying the game files in Steam
Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue.
Because of this, I cannot manage or install mods for ARK: Survival Ascended through the CurseForge app, even though the game itself runs without any problems.
Could you please advise:
Whether ARK: Survival Ascended currently has known detection issues in CurseForge
Or if there is a specific directory structure or configuration required for Steam installations on a non-default drive

Logging into the cf app itself only has minimal features for modded mc. But its more for pack devs or people wanting to export a pack they made using the share code.

Other then that if you have a cf subscription thats tho only other reason for mc users to log into the app itself.

Which is different from logging into Minecraft. Either in the top right of the app if the cf launcher option is set in settings OR in the mc launcher if the mojang launcher option is set in the cf apps settings

so the search on minecraft mods is broken: when I search like create, sophisticated backpacks, litheral etc. show up (other mods not create, need to scroll down in order to find create mods, Im searching with featured filter but when I change the filter to for example total downloads none of create mods show up) idk if thats supposed to happen or its some kind of a bug

only featured mods are correctly set to what I search

so for example when I search farmers delight and I'd want to sort it by total downloads I cant because it just shows other mods with most downoads on curseforge, not the mods filktered by the word farmers delight
