Sorry forgot to say, asked in a backroom about this. Tho technically it is frowned upon to purposely make a pack crash if a specific mod is installed.

i see. i had to ask because i was informed that a mod called plustic was removed for preventing a user from logging in.

however this wouldnt be the case for my mod as i would explicitly mention and mark the other mod as incompatible, which informs the modpack makers and players that they will not work together beforehand. is this still not acceptable?

i just wanted to relieve myself off of queries regarding why x doesnt work with y and so on.

for context, said mod is not yet released. therefore it wouldn't cause crashes to any existing server from having to update their mods as it does not yet exist to begin with.

Could also just put up a disclaimer in your description stating your mod is not compatible with the other mod, and that its not something you are looking to fix atm. Covers your butt a bit from purposly crashing..

Like the game itself? It works, I know my friend plays on it, though it might have some bugs. It's in Java so technically should work just fine. The server also works fine in Linux (how I run my server).

Overall it should work out, but of course could be bugs it's like a early access / alpha state. But the modding community is growing really fast.

Does anyone know what causes an uploaded addon file to stay "stuck" on Processing for 24+ hours? It's my understanding that this step comes before Review. EDIT: I have resolved the issue. The zip filename had an invisible carriage return character in it (extracted from a file with Windows line endings during an automated zipping command), which caused CurseForge's processor to choke on it (I'm assuming).

This is a known issue caused by the Game Ready driver of Nvidia.

This should not cause ingame issues, but if you wish to fix it then you need to randomly mess with the Nvidia settings as several of them could cause this issue and not every of them are known.

Otherwise you can simply switch to studio driver, which I recommend.

Searching in the desktop client seems to be a bit broken. I'm getting way more results for single word search terms than I would expect (e.g. "Restocker" returns 1710 results) AND relevant results only show at the top if the list is unsorted. Doing any sorting while in browse mode and then searching, maintains the sort order and almost never has the relevant results easily visible. This started happening fairly recently.

But after some CurseForge updates when I search create It starting show me mods that contain any "Create" word in it. So uh, is Curseforge aware that they completely broke their search system? Because for the past week or so none of the search functions have worked correctly, I don't have screenshots of before, but generally the default featured search would just allow you to search for the most popular mods that were relevant to the search, like if you searched Create, your top result would be Create, followed by all its most popular addons.

Now, it just seems to be randomly ordered (It's not Alphabetical Order or Latest Update or even download count, there's mods in the first 20 results with less than 10k downloads) and Create itself isn't even the top of the list? And not to mention, all the other sorting types completely ignore what you actually put in the search bar.

Sorting by popularity just sorts by most popular mods of any kind, completely ignoring your search. Latest update is the same, Name and Author just search by Alphabetical order, etc.

This is both on the Desktop app AND the website. It's genuinely atrocious to use at this point, I'm basically stuck using modrinth until this gets fixed, because I genuinely cannot find the things I need.

You will need to make a ticket with Microsoft for their account side of things. As for the CurseForge part, would recommend opening a ticket with CF that includes proof that you were hacked by something within the CurseForge ecosystem.

As Curseforge uses Microsfts auth systems.
