yo does anyone know how to make the spawn rates of zombies lower than at night so it would feel like a real zombie apocalypse? because now it just spawns like a lot of zombies at day and night (at night is no problem that's the point) but at day there should still be zombie spawning but a lot less than what I've got. Unless you manully deleted the curesforge folder that would have been in the documents folder. Reinstalling the app doesnt delete game content.

Scan your pc for a folder named "instances", if your content is still there you should have 2 of these folders

Click on that mod and go to the files/versions page. You must make sure the mod supports your modloader AND Minecraft version.
There are very few mods available for Forge on 1.20.5 and above. You should use NeoForge or Fabric instead.

I’ve run into a problem that I haven’t been able to solve on my own, so I decided to ask here. Hopefully someone can help.

I can’t download a Minecraft modpack. I keep getting the same error every time:
“timeout attempting to download: url to modpack”
This happens in two different ways:

Sometimes the modpack doesn’t download at all.
Other times it does download, but during the Forge installation it gets stuck, then throws the same error and deletes everything that was downloaded.

I’ve already tried the following:

disabling the firewall
running the launcher as administrator
disabling proxy and VPN
using the “Repair Installation” option
reinstalling the launcher completely

Unfortunately, none of this helped, and the problem is still there.
My operating system is Windows 11.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The exclude option does not work. I'm not sure but I actually think it makes those priority in filtering. There are a ton of broken and not updated mods in curseforge. Will anyone ever actually get around to deleting those? Some Mods, its clear they will never get updated again. Some even say "no longer getting updated". No, the problem is: even if we implement it correctly, everything will break down

The "update all" feature have a warning and yet cause the most damage due to everyone skipping the warning and making the modpack unplayable and the world corrupted. Changing modloader would cause even more harm, and will hardly ever work

These entries can mess with the DNS and cause network issues. Also believe me or not, Fitgirl is not as safe as you think - we already saw people having issues inside their computer because of a malware they installed with Fitgirl, and could confirm that deleting the malware fixed the issue.

This file basically indicate two potential issues:

1. Fitgirl is indirectly messing with the network of your computer, which can lead some specific downloads to fail.

After reinstalling Windows, I recommend to change your account passwords. The malwares could definitely have tracked the passwords you use, if it's the case then any accounts you own could be at risk

I know it's a lot to do, but it's why people generally don't install pirated/cracked stuffs. It's never truly safe 😅
