Uhh so i have a Question i tried Updating a Curse Forge Modpack and it says Pending in queue... with nothing else being there so i looked into the Overwolf Store and it said i dont have CF now i have 2 CF and the one from Overwolf says i have 28 Modpacks and no Sims Mods and the other one says that i have 27 Modpacks but 480 Sims Mods (i have 480 Sims Mods)

I am considered a minor where i live, and reading the tos for curseforge, im trying to determine whether i need to wait a couple of years before playing. It specifically says 16, which i am very close to, but based on tos im pretty sure if they base themselves off of their own law i should mostly be fine in a year or so.

Tho keep in mind, some of the games cf supports have lower age ranges.

If your under 18, ask an adult to help you if you are unsure.

This issue is often caused by a antivirus, or in some occasion a network issue.

The rarer cases are malwares, the ISP or country blocking CurseForge in propose or by accident, and a outage.

Country blocking and outage are particularlily unlikely, because this would cause more reports - however something more centralized like a ISP issue is possible

2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

It gives you a warning when you click that button. There is no turning it off, you just dont click it.

Its a 1 and done button. You dont click it and it always stays on. Would have to click it again the next time you want to auto update the mods in the list again.

This is why you should always make a backup before you update all the mods all in 1 go.

Hi I thought this chat might help me because this might just be a simple fix but I created my own private modpack for myself on curse forge and it has a lot of mods but my computer is very beefy and is one of the newer computers so I know it can handle it and it was crashing when I launched so I went through and the mod that was causing trouble was oculus for some reason when I add oculus the game will crash and the exit code is just 1 and my shaders are in the shaders folder still but the minute I add oculus it starts crashing I'm on version 1.20.1 and 47.4.10 forge

Hello, I have the current version of all the mods 10 downloaded and the server pack but whenever I open Minecraft in curse forge, it seems unable to communicate with Minecraft to validate my token, but if I just open up Minecraft vanilla it logs in correctly so I could play online, but I can’t play online when I login through curse forge. Cuz your logging into the curseforge app itself. Minecraft is either in the upper right corner in the Minecraft section (if skip the launcher is enabled)

Do you know why nothing happens for me when I try to import my custom mod pack (for context this was my old modpack from my old computer and I exported it then saved it to a flash drive and now im trying to import it to my new computer)? I cant browse or look at anything after I hit import and the only way I can do anything on the curseforge app is if I relaunch it. It also doesnt tell me that anything is importing.

Is there an efficient way that I can put my modpack and world and take it from one computer and put it to another one?

copy the export zip to the new computer and try to import the file from there
restart your computer if it hasn't been restarted in awhile

I installed CurseForge (standalone) yesterday.
When I ran it for the first time I could choose between running Minecraft via the CurseForge Launcher or the Mojang Launcher. I selected the latter as i didn't want another installation of Minecraft on my PC. However, I got a prompt that no Mojang Launcher installation could not be found. It did not leave me with any follow up to select the installation folder.
Now when I run my ModPack via the play button** it opens a seperate installation of Minecraft** (skipping any intermediate launcher completely) and requests me to log into my Minecraft account every time u run the game..

I have seen that it opens up the deafault Minecraft Launcher and creates a new Installation for the ModPack therein; selectable via the dropdown. This is preferably what I would want as well.

Is there a way to fix my CurseForge to find my Minecraft Launcher Installation (eg via path selection), such that I am logged into my Minecraft account automatically when I try to play mods?

No, CurseForge will always use their own instance of the launcher, so it cannot use your own local instance.

The app uses it's own install and doesn't touch the .minecraft folder. This is intentional

can someone help me with this, I had to same problem for modrinth so im not really sure where to go. Whenever I try to open the server for TallTaleRP, it doesnt pop up at all. Every other server works except for that specific one after they updated their game to 1.21.8. I tried to get help from the server but they told me its most likely either my pc or modrinth as a whole.

There are a lot of issues with the "Use CurseForge launcher" option. Go to the CF App's settings and go to the Minecraft page. Then set the launcher setting to "Use Mojang launcher"
