Yes, as someone with an M1 that plays modded MC from mac, you sure can - getting curseforge is a good start, there is a download for mac in the downloads tab of the website. You'd then have a better time finding a modpack specifically for cobblemon - if you have any other problems with playing the modpack, or it doesnt launch after download, feel free to ping and ill try to help

You can use the search function in the curseforge app to find a modpack that has cobblemon in it

Mac users can pretty much play the modpacks that windows folks can. Sometimes we have to do extra troubleshooting steps, but we aren't as limited as you might think. If you want to try mods, just use the search in CF, and download whatever u wanna try

Hey, I need help with CurseForge modpacks. I'm trying to include an unverified/manual mod in a modpack and share it using a CurseForge share code. I put the mod’s .jar file into the modpack’s folder, but when I generate the share code and someone imports it, only the verified CurseForge mods show up — the unverified one doesn’t get included.

Does anyone know the correct way to make CurseForge include manual mods in a shared profile code? I’ve already tried putting the mod in the mods folder, but it still doesn’t get packaged with the share code. How do I properly include unverified mods so they transfer when someone imports the profile?

Trying this one more time when more people are awake. TL;DR when using the login button on the linux CurseForge App, it opens a firefox tab as is normal and expected. I log in just fine there, but it does not trigger a login for the app, and pressing the "login to app" button does nothing. I've disabled my firefox extensions that are usually the issue for stuff like this, like noscript and ublock and privacybadger.

Installing Bedrock Addons on PC

This is for the Computer version of Bedrock Edition Only

For the following steps, make sure the game is on the main menu screen first

Addons come in 2 options: Behavior Packs (BP) and Resource Packs (RP)
To install these all you need to do is:
1: download the wanted addon
2: Open your downloads folder
3: Double click on the addon
This will start the "import"

Once installed you need to enable the addons. They do not auto enable
1: Press play in the Main Menu > Create World > Create New World
2: Scroll down to the Experiments tab
3: Enable the all the Add-On Creator settings: Holiday Creator Features, Custom Biomes, Upcoming Creator Features, Beta APIs
4: You can then enable the RP or BP packs in their respective tabs in the world creation screen

Note: You can add RPs and BPs to old worlds, however this can cause issues depending on the pack, be sure to backup your worlds first

Yes, you need to make change the version number if you update it. And then you need to re-export the pack from your local version, so that the new mods are added/updated with their respective file IDs in the manifest.json.

Tried opening up curseforge and it gave me this error

All I can say was I was playing on an instance for a while testing with command blocks and using structure blocks, I saved a structure I made in the world and then quit the game and it wouldn't stop saying an instance was running and it was frozen and wouldn't let me close the application. So I used task manager to kill it and now it won't open back up

Having some trouble trying to sort out a Create modpack for me and a friend to play on, when I try to install a specific version of a mod from the browser version of forge (redirecting me to the app) it automatically installs the most recent version, so for example, if I try to install Create 1.5.1 (which I apparently need for Steam & Rails to work as it just doesn't want to run with 1.6) it'll auto-install Create 1.6.0.8, any idea just whats happening?

Heyo! So not sure if this is where i should ask this question, but im on a brand new computer which is running linux, and ive been trying to get modded minecraft to work. Java itself runs fine, and im launching through forge to get around thie normal issues, but no matter what the modpack has been, when i try to actually create the world, my whole PC freezes and i have to manually reboot.

Any ideas as to what the issue could be? My ram allocation is fine, and all my drivers are updated.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project

4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Share Profile
6. Click Export.
7. Select the files that should be included.
8. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.

Sounds contains ogg files, music_tracks is json files to play specific music for specific mobs, and the sounds.json is for inserting the sounds into the game, this is all made for the Mob Battle Music mod, perhaps it doesn't like that specifically?

Mods are set to a specific version

You are able to make a new pack profile, set it to a newer mc versions and install newer versions of those mods (if they exist, not all mods update to newer versions) and if you want to transfer your world, simply copy and paste your world folder to the other pack where worlds are saved

Changing your DNS server

How to run a Spark profile

Spark is a helpful mod to help debug performance issues. Get it from here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/spark

To start a profiler run the command /spark profiler start in game. This may tell you that there is a profiler already running, you will need to stop that with /spark profiler stop before starting a new one.

Once the profiler has been running for a bit (10 seconds to a couple minutes) run /spark profiler stop and spark will give you a link in chat, have a look yourself or share here to find out what is causing peformance issues.

You can also run a client profile, for FPS issues, using the /sparkc commands instead of the /spark commands. The rest of the command is the same.

It seems I just downloaded a trojan malware file from a mod in the Better Minecraft 4 modpack. I'm not entirely sure where to report this or how to verify the issue but my VPN flagged it and quarantined the file. The infected file was lxeris-3.6.2+1.21.1-forge.jar

The author of Ixeris is well known and trusted, and have no reason to use malwares.

Beside, every mods are manually investigated by a CurseForse employee every once in a while, and every files are always scanned with tools ways more sophisticated than Norton and if there is a flag during these scans then it's manually investigated.

Every cases of real malwares that I am aware of, cannot be detected by any known antivirus and are very well hidden. And always from people/accounts who have nothing to lose

Switch the app to use the Mojang launcher, settings > Minecraft > scroll down to launcher settings > Mojang launcher
