For the shaders, you need a mod to load them.

If you are on Forge, you need both Embeddium and Oculus.

Installing Bedrock Addons on PC

This is for the Computer version of Bedrock Edition Only

For the following steps, make sure the game is on the main menu screen first

Addons come in 2 options: Behavior Packs (BP) and Resource Packs (RP)
To install these all you need to do is:
1: download the wanted addon
2: Open your downloads folder
3: Double click on the addon
This will start the "import"

Once installed you need to enable the addons. They do not auto enable
1: Press play in the Main Menu > Create World > Create New World
2: Scroll down to the Experiments tab
3: Enable the all the Add-On Creator settings: Holiday Creator Features, Custom Biomes, Upcoming Creator Features, Beta APIs
4: You can then enable the RP or BP packs in their respective tabs in the world creation screen

Note: You can add RPs and BPs to old worlds, however this can cause issues depending on the pack, be sure to backup your worlds first

I’m currently experiencing an issue where I can’t download any modpacks on CurseForge. Even after waiting 30 to 40 minutes, the progress doesn’t load at all. This problem has been happening for 4–5 days now. Occasionally, the loading bar goes up to around 3%–19%, but that’s only for the profile loading stage. After that, a red error message appears, and the modpack download automatically cancels. My internet and Wi-Fi connection are completely normal, and I can still download games from other sources like Google. What kind of error is this?

hello yall. i was playing 2 days ago-ish when the power went out. sometime yesteday the power came back on and i loaded back up and then the power went out again. now everything seems to be fine so im trying to reload the my game but it wont boot. im trying to run 'MC eternal 2'. system specs are more than high enough. i have tried running vanilla minecraft which worked, repairing curseforge installation, and repairing the modpack installation. when i click play, i get the normal load screen. towards the end of the forge loader, before i load the main menu, the game crashes

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
3. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

curseforge hosts the mods themselves, but doesn't have a direct way through the CF launcher. i don't really know much about ark, just remembered other folks getting similar responses in the past

all the mods you would install in game would end up in the same space. in theory, you could just get all the mods on one device, if you own ark through steam, create a list of mods on there, and share the list to your wife + any other parties. that way, the mods are all available in one go. though im not super familiar, it's how my friends and i go about sharing multiple maps from a different game together, so you just subscribe to and download them all at once

but that assumes that steam can see them all as "workshop/dlc", and have the option to favourite/add to a new list

im just not sure how it goes about handling the curseforge mods in particular, since it all shows up in the same list ingame and i just pray steam picks them up as "workshop"

Mac Zip Import Issues

Apple has a pre-enabled feature that will auto unzip zip files on download. this will cause issues when you try to manually import modpacks

There are 2 options to fix this:
1: You can google the MacOS verision you have and look up how to disable the auto unzip feature then re-download the file

2: Open the unzipped folder of the pack you downloaded, zip the 2 manifest files and the overrides folder in a zip, then import the new zip you made

delete the curseforge application

we're then gonna run 3 commands in terminal, which will make sure we've deleted all of the other folders/left over files. run each of these lines one by one, hit enter each time you put one into terminal. it will not say anything, but as long as it creates a new blank line we know its safe to move on. if you see text after running one of these commands, either i've typed them wrong, or i'll have to know what the error says so we can work around it. as long as you're the main user on the mac, we should be fine.

You need to create a new modpack, on the same forge version as present on the server. Example: forge 40.0.1 or whatever. Then, once that's done. You can install new content to it

Thanks for the insight and help, Looking into the files helped me see that turns out it was running the app from the downloader install drive rather then the app installed on my computer, so it was stuck on the version I downloaded it on.

I downloaded SeedCrackX from 19misterX98’s GitHub. It’s the real version, but when I put it in my mods folder, it credits the wrong person as the uploader of SeedCracker, even though it wasn’t actually from the 19misterX98 account.
