You have to move the packs to the location you made cf look at.

Just move everything in the instances folder in the old location to the instances folder in the new location

fixed it. The problem was with Killer, some random program that manages network connections. two settings that are defaulted on - prioritization engine and auto bandwidth - were interrupting my internet for specific programs in some way.

Hello, I need some help with the datapack loading. I am currently making a custom modpack with 3 packs installed, but I have to add datapack manually every time, but hmm im kinda confused abt the support article mentioned that:

Does it mean datapack cant be automatically loaded by pack loaders in 1.20.1 ?

the feature that the app has for supporting MC 1.21.1+ is only to automate it. in 1.20.1 you can do the same thing yourself by installing one of those mods and then copying datapack zips to the folder that the mod uses yourself

a while ago i payed for pebble host with my brother and we started a server

we both stopped playing but i was amidst a massive megabuild that i wanted to finish shortly after but we had already cancelled the subscription

so 2 questions

1. is there a way for me to make the world from the pebblehost server into a single player world with the same everything or 2. am i able to apply essential to a multiplayer server?

1. Would need to just download the world folder off the server and drop it into your saves folder.
2. While yes you could use essential mod, you are setting yourself up for the possibility of more issues as not all mods work with essential, some have run into world corruption issues that are very hard to fix, etc.

Better off making a local server and either portforwarding or using playit.gg to play with friends.

I downloaded the zip file from my resource pack onto my smartphone and then started an update there. It then uploaded there. On my PC, as well as in a virtual machine or other browsers, I got a 403 error. But 403 means permissions. However, I can't actually have an IP block.

You need to make sure you are correctly login in the launcher. If it's saying that you need to pay the game, then you have logged into the wrong account
Even if the account have a similar name or similar info, there is a extremely high change you have logged into the wrong one

so i have a problem. the pocket repose mode isn't working with the sinytra. by that the pack i have the sinytra mod in isn't showing as compatible even with a vershion that is 1.20.1. so am i just boned here and unable to get it to work with other mods or is there a work around that I'm not seeing?

I noticed that the new “Customize Columns” feature on Curse allows users to choose which items to display (including the author’s name).

I cannot understand how Curse, as the biggest World of Warcraft addon site, could make such a foolish decision—giving people the option to hide the author’s name.

Through CurseForge, users already have little need to visit an addon’s page (and even fewer chances to know who the author is). Why is it that so many addon authors put in their time and effort to develop addons, yet whether their names are displayed on CurseForge can be turned into a mere option?

I am not an addon author myself, but I find this feature absolutely stupid and disgusting. (I even joined this Discord just to call out whoever developed this feature. I know I might be violating your rules and could get banned, but this setting is truly the height of stupidity.)

You cannot, because that would simply not work. Modpacks are not made to be mixed with which other, and trying to do so is even more troubleshoot than adding every mods manually

How to repair your Minecraft installation on CurseForge - **NOT** the same as `Repair Profile` - please follow these exact steps

1. Click on the Minecraft Tab on the left side of the CurseForge App.
2. Click button in the Top Right Corner of the app
3. Click Repair Installation option.

Infortunately no. Maybe other mod managers will be able to install from CurseForge codes in the future, but it's currently not a thing

As for E4MC, the mod do not affect player security.

You need a Microsoft account that owns the game in order to play it. Unless it's stating that you own the game in your microsoft account, gamepass is only temporary, and nothing I know of inside and outside CurseForge can support gamepass properly

If it's stating in your Microsoft account that you own the game. Then you are most likely logged in the wrong account, or it is not working properly with the current Launcher Type selected in the app settings

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Share Profile
4. You have 2 options:
   a. Profile Code !mc-sharecode
   b. Export Zip !mc-sharezip
5. Send the zip/code to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-importpack to install the pack.

:small_blue_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Share Profile
6. Click Export.
7. Select the files that should be included.
8. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
9. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Find your modding folder location - In the Curseforge app press the options button at the top , then press the modding folder .
2. Saving folder location - In the now opened folder window > double mouse click to enter the 'Install' folder, and then the 'runtime' folder. At the top of the window, left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+C together to save this location.
3. Open the graphics settings window - Use Windows search (hotkey ) entering the text 'GPU' - and click on 'Graphics Settings'.
4. Add Java executables - Click the 'Browse' button below the text 'Add an app'. In the folder window left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+V together to paste the folder location and then press enter. -- Each folder showing is a different java installation - double mouse click one of them > then the only folder showing in each new location > then the folder named 'bin'. Once inside 'bin' folder > left mouse click the file named exactly - javaw.exe - then click 'add' in the window.

Repeat step 4 for every java installation showing in the 'runtime' folder.

5. Check options - For each of the newly added javaw.exe items - click on the item from the list and then the Options button. Check that either the only options are your graphics card, or that it's selected as the option to be used.
