Hello, the modpacks are working fine with all the customizations properly loaded without any problems as of now but I had two more questions, 1.Will I possibly face noticeble performance impact because I shifted from SSD to HDD and 2. The Backups (about 8GB) and Install (about 2GB) are still taking space in my C drive (about half of the total space before shifting) so can something be done like if they are not of any use in C drive now so can they be deleted?

Cuz thats how the skip the launcher feature works? there are only 1 set of launcher files for CF.

Plus keep in mind mc will take and hold the resources you give it and not share with the pc. EX: you have 16 gb or ram total, you allocate 8gb to the CF app > you open 1 pack your pc now has 8gb total > you open the second pack, your pc has 0gb total == BSOD

Then users blame cf for crashing their pc...

And yes, people have over allocated what their pcs can handle, and then blame cf for not stopping them (even though it does try)

So I created two groups in my curse forge console for retail and mop classic before realizing both are already separated by two sections in the upper right dropdown menu.

I had already transferred all my addons into the Retail folder. I deleted both folders which the console told me would return the addons to “My Addons” but never did. My curse forge page is blank. How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
3. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)

5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C

You cant change where the app itself is saved, but you can change where minecraft is saved when you are setting up mc.

The cf app stores in appdata and uses temp folders when installing modpacks and such, by default windows uses the boot drive for things like that.

Just how it works for cf

But the app and the games have 2 different save locations. Meaning the app itself can be installed on one drive then the games that take up a lot more space are on another

I was having a little problem with the client, when I was trying to connect my Minecraft account wit curseforge to initialize my game with mods, the launcher came out with some error that I don't know how to fix. (To be clear I'm not sure what could be the error).

When are they going to fix cosmetics so when you see someone using a premium one and your system downloads it then you can’t uninstall it cause it says you don’t own it. Yes I know I can turn off dynamic downloads but then what’s the point of people using them. Example, I don’t own power rangers but as soon as I see someone using it, my system downloads it so I can see what they are wearing. Some time later I try to uninstall it, the option is not there and instead I see an option to purchase when I just want to uninstall it.

I got back last night and my server that I play on added another mod to the server. So I downloaded it but then my modpack instance would'nt launch. I figured out that everytime I add a new mod to a modpack, they will not launch. This is confusing me because 1 week ago I was able to add mods no problem. I do not get any crash log at all. I click "play" it says launching game, then it stops and nothing happens. If anyone can help me out or direct me to another channel that would be much appreciated.

The game identify you using your username/UUID. If you change it, you will be considered like another player inside the server. It's not only a modded problem, people are even changing usernames in vanilla to exploit the game

Hello all! I’ve been having an issue where I can’t run any pack off forge. Neo and fabric work fine. I can download the pack fine and launch the Minecraft launcher but once I press play from the launcher it crashes with error code 1. I don’t have any logs because it won’t even boot the game. Any suggestions? The only forge pack I have got to work is deceased craft. I have reset forge and re installed as well as a full reset of my computer.

Depends on which version of the app you got at the time, and what its malicious payload was.

Another issue is there have been keylogers, backdoors, worms, etc found. Meaning you should:

• really be changing all your passwords (not just mc) any account logged into during TLs stay on your pc.
• Do deap malware scans on your pc, more then just 1 as well (2-6)
