How to install mods in the CurseForge App

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.

if you have a mod that's different from what's on the server, it could very well be the reason you're seeing that error. even if you've modified the config to match up, it still recognises a change of some sort

you may want to fresh install the mods that are present on the server end, and give it another try without modifications

I might be having a similar issue.

I'm attempting to create a new profile for Minecraft v1.20.1 on forge-47.4.0 and I am always met with this error. Oddly enough, newer and older versions of Minecraft don't seem to have this error.

(Okay, just as I was describing the problem and about to send logs, it seems that I ended up resolving it simply by choosing forge-47.3.39, the version just before 47.4.0)

Installing Bedrock Addons on PC

I found that one of my HDD (this HDD doesn't have anything to do with CurseForge it just my picture storage) gone rouge, it have like 76% bad sector so it cause all file scanning action on windows to be very slow

I have a problem due to which I can no longer use the CurseForge application and website normally.
After the last three updates of the application, it stopped loading.
At first, the problem arose in that the launch process (namely Forging Library) began to take about 3-5 minutes, which is unimaginably long compared to how quickly it launched before.
However, 4 days ago, CurseForge completely stopped working (and the website too):
Mods stopped loading into the modpack via the app (endless loading, as in the screenshot).
Mod icons do not load.

Tell me, could this problem be related to the fact that I use the application in the CIS? I tried reinstalling the application, nothing helped.

If anyone is willing to help me, I need some serious help getting CurseForge - namely ConsolePort - working on SteamDeck. after numerous troubleshooting videos I am at an absolute impasse because I cannot find WoW Retail folder using the CurseForge app browsing to locate that destination

I cannot simply use the app to "scan" and locate the game, and when manually adding game, I cannot find the game (although I can find it if I browse the folders outside of Curse Forge)

If I could, I would simply copy/paste the destination directory from Dolphin into CurseForge, but that doesnt seem possible.

All available YouTube videos suggest the file destination should be readily ascertainable in CurseForge - ex., they just say "find the retail folder" and for them it is there. It is not there for me.

How to repair your Minecraft installation on CurseForge - **NOT** the same as `Repair Profile` - please follow these exact steps

You cant change the mc version of a custom profile. You would need to make a whole new profile and reinstall the mods IF they are available for that nc version.

I found a modpack, made a copy and added some more mods. But now when i press the "Download Server Pack" this doesnt include the mods that i added myself. How can i fix this?

The server pack is premade, by the pack maker and uploaded to CF, you altering the client pack does not affect the server pack

Because last time i remember i just added all mods of the modpack to the server but this made it so i couldn't start the server, and I had to manually remove each mod and start the server until it started with no issues.
