so uh i have an issue with curseforge app/launcher, infact i had it for a while, asked for help and nothing worked, basically:
when trying to boot up ANY version of Minecraft on CF, during the time it tries to boot up minecraft launcher (i have premium MC and the official launcher so it shouldnt cause issues like that), it just straight up doesnt boot, like at all, it doesnt even give any crash report or anything, just, shows its trying to boot, then the launcher closes and thats that, and i really want to solve this problem because honestly i just wanna play minecraft and its nearly impossible

That should not have any side effects. The worst case I can think of would be you to be unable to connect in other services or addresses, but Cloudflare and Google's DNS is the most reliable which ultimately makes it unlikely to happens

It would be nice to get regular updates even if it's just to say 'we are still working on it' though. Anyone who works in customer service knows that regular updates are essential in situations like that. 9 hours without an update is not good customer service.

People are losing money with their servers, people have put 100s of hours into their game and are at risk of losing it.

Again, taking it out on staff or mods is not ok but there is more that can be done to keep people in the know.

If it's 1.12.2 then it's using the Forge modloader. Delete the folder you just created and instead create a profile in the app for 1.12.2. Open the the modpack folder of this profile, create a folder named saves inside, and put everything in it

Wildcard released the update for them, but the issue is due to mods and CurseForge which is a completely different ends entirely. I believe Wildcard should have given CurseForge access to the changes to fix the problems about the mods before releasing everything publicly

I’ve only been playing ARK for two or three years. And what I keep noticing is that updates and the launch of new maps are constantly being delayed and always seem to cause problems. To be honest, if I were in their shoes, I would do everything I could to make sure that when something is announced, it actually gets released on time. And when it does release, it should really work properly.

Even if it’s just small things—I don’t know—you need to make sure you’re in contact with the people who create the mods. They should have access so they can test their mods with the new Unreal Engine 5.5 versions or whatever. It just shouldn’t be possible for there to be these kinds of issues, especially across all platforms.

It needs to work for everyone—PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players. Everyone pays for it, everyone has invested money. I think we have every right to expect things to be released properly. Especially when there are wipes happening every day. And in my case, I can’t even take part right now. So my tribe mate has to deal with everything alone. I can only hope this gets fixed somehow in the next few hours.

Ps5- Soo I joined a random server with 1 mod and it let me in even tho in the mod menu it says mod is invalid when I click on the server it shows the mod as installed and it let me back in

Yeah I get that but overwolf literally makes 48 million a year off users. Who use and buy their mods and it's their responsibility to make sure their s*** works and in a timely fashion . Let alone making sure its ready to go and properly tested before hand. Curse forge was given multiple weeks to pretest 5.5 prior to the release to ensure mod compatibility and functionality. That didn't happen well on consoles and that's not wildcards fault . Curseforge had access to 5.5 and what their mods did while operating on 5.5 . They weren't thorough enough with their testing on console and now people have had no access to their servers they pay for because the mods that drive them are insufficient due to piss poor testing and no regulation on their individual modders to have their crap ready for this update .
