So the problem I had regarding certain versions not showing still happens, but I found a workaround by simply searching for something else, then going back to what I originally wanted and magically Fabric 1.21.5 of that mod I wanted appears in the list. It's so weird. Even after repairing and restarting.

In the app the Versions tab keeps "crashing" for me, meaning that when I click on a new page it either loads really slow then says there are no versions, or says there are no versions outright, making me have to switch tabs to get the list back but then it does it again, making it impossible to find the version I want

Yeah, it's still happening. Fabric 1.21.5 doesn't show in the curseforge app, but the same mod shows just fine for that version on the website. This is really weird.

Assuming I don't have this problem, it's possible you have a network issue. Otherwise you can try to reinstall the app

That's not how networks work. This problem didn't happen in previous versions of CurseForge. And I'm not the only one since someone else above had a similar issue. It's OK, to just say "I don't know".

And it's likely not the app either, since there is no such filter as far as i'm aware. If there was a automatic filter, I should be able to reproduce the problem
Beside just because you are able to see a file, do not means a network will not fail seeing other. If it's a bug with the app on your side, then reinstalling it should fix the problem

A explanation about the network would be that it's able to reach files older than a certain date for example. But something between you and CurseForge is having trouble to see more recent files, possibly because the files for 1.21.5 is stored differently - I can't say for sure.

Hi there, I'm not sure where I can ask this so trying here first. I'm using Prism Launcher as my choice of Minecraft launcher for downloading mods from CurseForge. However, for some reason I cannot access all of a mod's versions, so am wondering if there are problems with the third-party API (assuming) for handling mod downloads and version update checking.
I also noticed that verifying mod versions failed a few weeks prior when I tried to check for mod updates within the launcher app.
asked in their community support, they say it seems to be an issue on CF's side. Any ideas what's going on?

You can get the issue to go away temporarily by redownloading the mods but as soon as you open it again they all reappear

I don't believe there was ever a "install date", or it's something I completely missed and never heard of for years. The common way to see something similar to a install date would to be looking at File Explore and sort by the most recently modified file

Hey yall, my minecraft launcher started acting up today and now it does one of two things depending on how I open it.

If I open Minecraft by clicking the Minecraft Launcher app, it crashes instantly with an error code 0x1

If I open Minecraft through Curseforge, the launcher loads for a unusually long time and says "Failed to find your login information. Please restart the launcher" and if I click the sign in button, it turns white like I've clicked on it but nothing happens. I have to close this instance of Minecraft through the Task Manager or it says there's still an instance open.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.
I've also tried a few things which include:
Restarting my computer
Repairing Minecraft Launcher files
Resetting Minecraft Launcher
Removing mods from .minecraft

Update on this:

I ran some stuff as admin and updated a few things and got some good results. My normal minecraft launcher now boots as normal and lets me sign in. All good!

However, my Curseforge instance has degraded in some way. On launch, it immediatly stops responding, and any clicking of anything just crashes the launcher. I feel like I'm almost there.

Any help is appreciated!

I figured out how to run the Curseforge instance as Admin. That stopped the crashing, but now I'm back to the same issue from before. This is so silly.

And there's no log for the Curseforge, since it doesn't even boot to the actual game. Can't get past the launcher :/

I fixed it! Switch from "Use Mojang Launcher" to "Skip Launcher with Curseforge" and the problem will be solved. To navigate there, go to Settings - Game Specific - Minecraft - Launcher Settings and hit the button shown in the picture. Hope I could help!

I booted up the CurseForge App today for the first time in months to play the custom modpack that I made a while back and upon launch it had an update. This wasn't something I was initially concerned with, however, once I logged into my profile I realized all my instances were gone.. This includes the custom modpack that I spent no less than 40 hours putting together with all the config tweaks...

I shared this modpack with one friend who I typically played with, so I have the old Import code that was last generated for it, however, these are only good for 7 days..

The main problem with hosting a server in your own computer, is it you will need to port forward your router for anyone who is not on your network who wish to join the server.
That require you to give them your public IP, which is not a security risk but can be used to locate your general location even if you are using a VPN. It's not giving away your exact location, in the best case it's telling which country you are from and in the worst case it's telling which town you are from.

However, there is alternatives to port forwarding. For example you can use Playit.gg or maybe NordVPN

You need to a working modpack first if you want to mod. Then you copy paste the mods into your server folder, and you remove the client side mods using the Scan utility of Universalator and delete the previously created world

When you play a realm every mod you download stays inside of the curseforge launcher and then you just launch the game through the launcher

The server folder should be looking like this. In your side you probably have "mods", "world", "Universalator". In your profile folder you can copy the mods folder and paste it inside the server folder, and delete the world folder

If you are using a modpack you downloaded, this modpack should probably have a server pack which you can use instead of copy pasting
