Hello, i and my friend are trying to play modded minecraft but, it either times him out or he gets an error, now i know that you need to have same exact mods and same version, we do have the same mods and version, and even checked if our ip are correct, and checked if he entered right ip, and i know that there can be client only mods, yes, we checked even that. I dont really know much how else i should fix this issue, but would appreaciate if someone helped us. Thanks!

Use the Add more content section in your custom profile to install the mod.

As the Browse tab filters by all mc versions/modloaders. Meaning when you press the Orange Install button it attempts to download the latest most file for that project, but doesnt auto sort it to the modloader or mc version you want. Just takes whatever the latest file the dev uploaded is.

Where Add More Content auto sorts by your modloader and mc version the profile is set too.

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.

Would likely need to switch to the Mojang launcher option in the CF app, then manually change the java version every time. Since CF uses what Mojang sets by default.

Every time I try to load and attempt to play a mod, it just automatically stops and shows "kill instance". It doesn't matter what mod I use, etc. Always pops up.

Updating create would break all the other add-ons in their pack

Safer in cases where they've made modifications to a pack with create 5 to backdate the add-ons they put in themselves 🙂 create 6 came out feb28 so you can use its date and change logs to find the ones

Funding create 6 addons when you have create 5 is a lot easier than the other way around too

most likely your cpu is bottlenecking your gpu

You will have to open graphics settings and then know where your java is located and add that java version javaw.exe as a desktop application and then edit its settings and set it to be high performance, which should make it use your gpu. But this is only for if it doesn't render using your gpu

Mods use a different version for every version of Minecraft.
For exemple a mod made for 1.20.1 will not work on 1.21.5.

Sodium and Iris have a version for 1.21.1, so you can download this version and you will be able to play using them on 1.21.1

Sodium and Iris are client side mods. They do not affect your worlds at all.
Your world might get corrupted when updating, so make a backup, but generally yes. you can update your owrld to 1.21.1 but once it's updated, you cannot go back.
