Minecraft/Java actually acts funky if you give it too much memory to work with. The average is between 4-8gbs, with like a max of 10gbs if you're running it solo even on some of the biggest modpacks on site.

I was given a recommendation, I'm not sure if it will benefit yall folks but it helped 2 other users in your similar situation.
Using v2rayn with VLESS tunneling to a different country (like germany). I hope the blockages clear up relatively quickly for yall. Or that a more permanent solution presents itself

This method was for discord and YouTube initially, but it worked for updating modpacks, using mods like essential without issue, where they couldn't before setting this up

If you want any other info, I'll try to provide all the context they gave me originally. Although it's not much, it might be able to lead yall down different routes of bypasses to try if this doesn't work

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Find your modding folder location - In the Curseforge app press the options button at the top , then press the modding folder .
2. Saving folder location - In the now opened folder window > double mouse click to enter the 'Install' folder, and then the 'runtime' folder. At the top of the window, left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+C together to save this location.
3. Open the graphics settings window - Use Windows search (hotkey ) entering the text 'GPU' - and click on 'Graphics Settings'.
4. Add Java executables - Click the 'Browse' button below the text 'Add an app'. In the folder window left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+V together to paste the folder location and then press enter. -- Each folder showing is a different java installation - double mouse click one of them > then the only folder showing in each new location > then the folder named 'bin'. Hello, my modpack is built using the Forge loader, but it includes the mod Hybrid Aquatic, which is originally a Fabric mod. It has been made compatible with Forge using Sinytra Connector, and it works properly in this setup. Hybrid Aquatic also depends on fabric-language-kotlin, which is designed for the Fabric loader. Even though my pack uses Forge, I've tested it thoroughly that both mods load and function correctly without any crashes or issues. But since there is a fabric mod in a forge loader modpack, my modpack doesn't seem to be approved for it, is there a way for it to be approved ? Thanks.

Okay first off, don't allocate 12GB to Minecraft; 10GB should be the absolute max as that's the point where you start causing MORE issues.

Second, can you try allocating a specific RAM value in the profile your launching? Use 8192MB or so

Hiya! Curseforge won't launch Minecraft modpacks. I've reinstalled Curseforge and repaired installation twice and tried multiple different packs, none of which seem to be working. Minecraft launches fine on vanilla and I made a modpack consisting of one single mod to see if maybe there were conflicting mods throughout the ones I was trying to load and it still didn't launch anything. Just wondering if anyone has any clue what could be causing it? :]

Sinytra Connector is only getting better and better. But affect the stability of the pack, and can have a lot of issues in the end waste your time doing something already possible within a single modloader in a more stable way.

Plus Sinytra Connector can have a lot of hard-to-debug issue which can happens literally at anytime, maybe one day the mod will prevent the game from booting correctly or cause ingame bugs/issues that wasn't previously there

To resume, you can already do a lot of things with one modloader. And trying to use Sinytra Connector can cause a lot more efforts and problems than simply find a workaround within the same modloader

You can change java versions to a custom one in the curseforge settings, but I also don't recommend this since this will effect every instance

Hello, Im trying to create a server for skyfactory 3, when I run the install.bat it works but only for a second, when I put the universal jar into the folder manually and ran the startserver.bat with the correct pathing to my javaw.exe file it says Error: invalid or corrupt jarfile. I downloaded jdk1.8.0_202, as it is the correct java version for 1.10.2 but the server start still says the same thing. The pathing I used was: "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_202\bin\javaw.exe"

overwolf and Curseforge keep crash on launch

I am getting this when i goto reinstall Cureseforge

I'm having this happen on my brand new Xbox series X, it just keeps downloading over and over again, but since the new update which actually didn't fix console issues it just made the issues which in my opinion there was nothing wrong with console getting onto any server even my Series S could get onto the map now it's broken!

I tried installing update from game mod list, I tried deleting and reinstalling, I tried to go into server after the above and then it started this downloading 3 times now!

Please fix this and stop decay timers on everything I've had to start all over again once before because I couldn't get into the server 113 modded official for over 2 weeks and the role back didn't save all my dinos that were out and all my stone structures which was more than 3/4 of my base.

I had 3 tribmates and they lost their whole base so 3 and 3/4's of hard work just gone.

My guess without seeing logs or anything's is you have incompatible add-ons for create version you're using

Pack devs practically have to make a choice rn , do you want create up to date, or do you want to be able to pick and choose what add-ons you want for create

Not that no add-ons will work on 6.0 but they don't all work on 6.0

If its your custom pack and you haven't modified any configs you can practically delete them all and let them regen 🙂

How did you get the zip you uploaded, did you make it yourself or did you export it from the CF app?

Hello. This is something that may involve CurseForge, but I do need some help. Here's what happened: Every time I join my single-player world with some installed mods, about half the time, items in my chests disappear when I save and rejoin. I have a lot of chests full of items, but they keep vanishing. I have a copy of my world, and I've tried transferring from the copy to the current version, but the problem persists. I don't know if it's CurseForge, the mods (because I'm using Fabric), or the Minecraft world itself. I'm very confused. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. I am having an issue when I try to run any Minecraft mod pack the launcher loads and then a second later before the Minecraft program itself even opens the launcher gives me a crash report. I have tried updating my drivers, Uninstalling and reinstalling Curseforge, as well as the entire overwolf program but nothing. When I boot up Minecraft regularly it runs just fine (even with mods) but anything in curse forge doesn't work.
