I tested a 1.21.5 version and it seemed to work fine, deleted it, then I was able to make a 1.20.1 version but it only labeled it as 1.20.1, when I tried to run mods it said the version I was running was 1.21.5 and not 1.20.1

Hello, I've been having this issue where audio causes a major dip in fps on curseforge. I've tried playing multiple modpacks all with the same issue. Vanilla MC works just fine. Tried searching the web but couldn't find anything.
The clip is from Beyond Depth, but I've had identical issues in ATM, Skyfactory, and custom modpacks as well. The lag is caused by Audio, setting volume to 0 eradicates it completely.
If you know how to solve this or have any leads, it would be greatly appreciated. ty

I installed curseforge and created a new modpack called test 2 with the Handcrafted mod. The minecraft version is 1.20.1 and the Forge version is 55.0.3. However when I click play it opens up the minecraft launcher and there isn't any sign of the forge minecraft version. If I launch a new world, the mods also don't appear. I tried to open a new world anyway and but the mods weren't there.

Uninstall some games or export every modpacks and be sure to select your worlds/configs and everything useful in the exports.

Then delete your modpacks in the app, and try to change the location again

The second option is more risky since if you do something wrong you will lose some progresses or ingame settings

Your mods are written in the manifest file and downloaded back by the app. Every mods not recognized by the app will be put there

It's why the export take less space, and why i'm telling you to export every modpacks as a workaround to your lack of storage space

Export every modpacks you have with the world, mods, scripts, and configs. Then delete every modpacks in the app and be sure to clean up your bin, and try to change the location again

If you successfully change the location, you can import every modpacks back

I'm not 💯 sure if this will help but you can disable the skip the launcher in settings and it should let you login via the MC launcher instead of CF

you cannot change the minecraft version of a profile, you can only make a new profile

no. modpacks are collections of files hosted on each service. they each have their own file repositories that are handled differently

so about your question though, the wording I had assumed you meant to 'convert' the same modpack format from one company to another company. what you are describing about the modrinth launcher was them having an api to pull curseforge hosted content (except mods marked by authors not to be allowed to get shared on 3rd party apps0
