Ok let me ask more clearly:
Would requiring the player to download a curseforge-only mod themselves be an ok solution for including curseforge-only mods in a modrinth modpack? The mod would have a button which would open the download pages for all required curseforge-only mods.
This mod wouldn't contain or open any links to the curseforge CDN directly. It would contain links to the download pages of specific versions of mods, like this: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/jei/download/5626488

I'd love to get a straight answer before wasting time actually making said mod and then it being taken down haha

Ultimately, if the mods aren't open for 3rd party downloads through the API, I think the only sensible solution (speaking as a 3rd party dev myself), would be having the users to download the specific mods manually, to give the author proper credit through viewing the ads when downloading the mod.

But that's only my personal opinion.

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.

5. Search and install the desired mods.

Hello, I am trying to play ATM 10 on my laptop. I played it last night but on my desktop... Not sure if using my account on two seperate computers is the issue... But My current issue on the Laptop is Im getting a crash upon launching ATM 10. The error code is " 1 " a google search has told me to increase allocated RAM so I did that first then I uninstalled everything including curseforge. Reinstalled everything same crash. Hi All! I'm super new to modding and was wondering if I could get some help. Everywhere online says I only need to export my mod pack as a zip file from the app to easily upload the files to Cursed Forge. When I do this with My current mod pack however I seem to get an extra file named .connector filled with .jar and Input files that look like this: Eldritch_End-FORGE-MC1.20.1-0.3.3$aaa-particles-1.20.1-1.4.5-fabric.jar

Because of this, my modpack file keeps being rejected, but if I remove these files my modpack suddenly claims that a series of mods no longer exist and it breaks. Does anyone have any tips for me? I can't seem to find a proper guide on this anywhere.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

For a while now, whenever I launch a pack using curseforge, my memory will dump causing frame hitching ever 10 seconds or so. I do not know why this his happening when I have 10gb allocated. This is correct? Since your using the skip the launcher feature, the play button turns into "kill instance" so that if a user needs to close the game for any reason you can kill it from the cf app, vs having to open task manager and hunt for the process file name

Wifi can be unstable for multi-file downloads, as a lot more math and such has to go into each files download.

Vs cable where that math goes out the window.

Keep in mind, speeds are not the same as stability.

Highly recommend you either upgrade windows, OR discornnect your pc from the internet. Windows 7 and under is really not safe to use on the internet as you are no longer geeting important security updates. Antiviruses are not enough to protect you on that windows version.

Basically not ownly your pc is at risk either, any other device connected to the same network your pc is on is also at major risk of hacks or malware. Hackers will 100% use windows 7 pcs to access other things in the network.

How to install mods in the CurseForge App

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
4. Start the game!

I've deleted all of the modpacks from the folder and updated my drivers but idk what to do

How to repair your Minecraft installation on CurseForge - **NOT** the same as `Repair Profile` - please follow these exact steps

1. Click on the Minecraft Tab on the left side of the CurseForge App.
2. Click button in the Top Right Corner of the app
3. Click Repair Installation option.

NOTE: Although this might seem similar to the instructions of repairing profile, it's different and required. No worries, you will not lose any modpacks or worlds.
