Problem with this is if users use the bandaid, then ghost the ticket team cuz "it works" then this isssue will never get fixed.

This has been an ongoing problem we really want to get fixed. Which is why we havent been giving the temp fix as so far most that have been given it dont reply to support

We need users to help us fix it as it doesnt happen to everyone. Its been a pain to reproduce at points as well. Also means features that users have been asking for, like Desktop icons for their modpacks will also no longer work. Creating more issues

A while. At one point it had slowed down then suddenly came back. We had been asking users to make tickets, then giving a band-aid fix.

But... we started noticing users werent replying to tickets. So we stopped the band-aid to see if we can get a more permanent fix going with users more focused on actually fixing then just some tape and glue

I have been attempting to join my friend's world for the past 2 hours, but for some reason it won't work. It either gives me the error code "java.nio.channels.closedchannelexception" or no code at all. I can load in, then I fall through the map and get kicked. I'm pretty close to giving up so any help or guidance would be appreciated.

If it helps you can still playing in your modpacks, but you have to set the luanching method to "Use Mojang Launcher"

This isa a temp baindaid fix, telling users to do this would just make it so that the current issue wont be solved. You also loose out on features when you use the mojang launcher.

curseforge appears to be autonomously cancelling all downloads i start. besides CF and Modrinth, i have never had this issue with any other program.
i have tried clicking the repair installation button. i have tried brute-forcing it by just starting the download over and over again. i have tried restarting my PC. i have tried re-installing curseforge. none of it has worked.

Came over from the modded mc server, have run into this a few times and recreating a pack, searching each mod, then exporting it worked the first time, but re-adding 140+ mods to export can be tedious. TLDR; Does anyone have any idea why there would be mods missing from the modlist in an export?

If you are using a voice chat mod on a Mac with CurseForge, you must be using skip the launcher
To switch to skip the launcher you must:

The server does no rendering, at all, and trying to put the two mods I said on the server will crash it, Embeddium and Oculus are client only and do not go on the server

The server does not care if you have them

If you want shaders, use them, the server can’t
