@hazy bane @scarlet scroll Try this, in the CF app click the > minecraft tab > launcher settings > switch to the Mojang launcher option instead of the skip the launcher.

However if you wish to use the skip the launcher, you will need to open a ticket, as higher cf support would need to have a chat to get to the bottom of this

yeah he will but its not just cf rn its his pc aswell with a 4060Ti and I5 12400f hes only getting 160-200fps where im getting 370-460fps with a 3060 12gb and I5 12600kf

Gpus are the main thing used by minecraft, the cpu and ram are what are inportant. As minecraft is a single cpu core game, so core speed is important.

Each pc will handle the game differently. 200fps is pretty good for modded mc imo. Most are lucky to see 100fps. But if you have a monitor that doesnt support that high you wont see a difference anyways

But also something to keep in mind, once a game opens, the CF app isnt doint anything any more, it only helps manage modding,

Only thing I can think of is maybe the apps copy of minecraft is using the integrated gpu in the cpu instead fo their gpu card.

Best way to have that happen to people with smaller mods for games like World of Warcraft would be like a "WoW-pack" support, where an author can export the mods they are using, as a pre-made pack, which would give all authors points for the downloads of that pack..
But I don't think they have that implemented yet.. I was thinking of building something like that myself as a 3rd party thing.. only thing is that 3rd party downloads doesn't count towards points if I'm not mistaken.. sadly. Need 2nd party for that.
I should poke the CF team about it. xD

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
3. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Hi guys
My friend set up a server on Apex Hosting, started it with the BigChadGuys Plus modpack, and then wanted to add Origins to it as well. I'm the only person on the server that's familiar with doing more involved modding setup so I was tasked with doing this, but sadly I cannot get it to work.

I have Origins properly added onto the BigChadGuys Plus modpack on CurseForge and it works fine in singleplayer, but after adding it to the server mod folder, I cannot get it to work in multiplayer, using the hotkey for it simply opens the Origins menu with text that reads "This server does not have Origins installed."

I have tried the dependencies listed on both the CurseForge page for Origins, as well as the official Origins documentation. I tried cross referencing the mod folders from the client version and server version to see if anything related to origins or its dependencies were mismatched, but couldn't find anything that stood out. I have tried disabling the Origins version check in the config file.

They both run on fabric, are made to work on Minecraft version 1.20.1, and the server is set to Java version 17.

At this point I am out of ideas, if any other information would help please feel free to ask.

How to get started with shaders

Playing with a shaders mod like Oculus, Iris, or others and want more flair to your world? Don’t know what shader to pick from or where to look? try looking on Shaderlabs or the customization tab on the CurseForge site.

To get started using shaders:

1. Download the shader mod and its requirements for the mod loader you’re using and run the game at least once to generate the shaderpacks folder
2. Download the shader you want from either the CurseForge site or Shaderlabs (linked above)
3. In the CurseForge app, right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile
4. Click Open Folder
5. Open the shaderpacks folder and place the shader file you downloaded in there

the mods are not a part of curseforge. they are all individualy updates once their creator(s) get a new version for the latest game version ready.

I suggest joining the community of the mod(s) in question to check on updates and development progress regarding the game version you are playing

CF keeps mods separate, when you make a 1.21.4 profile, you’ll only get 1.21.4 mods when you go to the add more content menu

I can think of two ways of fixing it:

Network Fix:

1. If you are running on wifi, try ethernet (wired connection) if possible.
2. Turn off IPv6 and corrige the DNS address, follow the instructions of the !ipv6 and !dns commands.
3. Try to install the modpack again.

Manual Fix:
If you prefer, I can send you the required files so Curseforge don't not fail to try downloading them.

1. Ask me, and once you get the folder copy and paste it in the following path:
   C:\Users\{COMPUTER_NAME}\curseforge\minecraft\Install\libraries\net\minecraftforge\forge
2. Try to install the modpack again.

Shouldnt be editing pre-mades, as its the fastest way to break them. As the devs worked hard to make the pack work / balance, adding mods throw off that balance and can potentially cause unknown issues as you play the pack.

Save any important worlds (if any) then reinstall the pack, dont make any changes unless you are 100% ready to troubleshoot any/all issues on your own

We don't recommend to use OptiFine above Minecraft 1.16 since that is not made for modded, only vanilla.

has anyone had any issues with curseforge after they moved the minecraft launcher to xbox? i havent been able to install mods, its general takes forever or just never lets me load my modpacks, and overall i just cant do anything, im thinking about reinstalling the curseforge app but i want to know if theres any easier fixes. Ive tried the repair installation (it doesnt respond) and clicking on the minecraft tab in settings also yields no response.

2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Other option is you open a ticket. Currently the options i know of for pfp is twitch accounts, or tickets for issues.
