5. Check options - For each of the newly added javaw.exe items - click on the item from the list and then the Options button. Check that either the only options are your graphics card, or that it's selected as the option to be used.

Ok putting this in the right channel, I think. So, I was initially trying to see if I could change my pfp. I went to the website to see my profile and when I click on settings, it takes me to a runtime error. In the screenshots it shows how I got to the error and obviously the error itself.

Not sure if this is just me or if others have this error as well???

importing is only for use with 'export files' which the curseforge app makes. it indexes mods so that you don't need to do exaclty what yoiu are doing moving the real files around

you can make a custom profile in your app and then copy the mods folder you have to the mods folder of the made profile

Projects that were made Before Overwolf bought CF from twitch that were allready approved by Twitch were added in and not rescanned for rule breaking names. If i understood it right Twitch had rules... but didnt overly enforce them..

Any packs that were made After the buy, Devs would have likely opened a ticket with CF to fight for the name. Since names like Vanilla or Pixelmon are used a lot at this point, making it harder for users to find your project.

As for MC and MInecraft, those are trademarked by Mojang/Microsoft. So you could potentially get it removed by them

Would recommend using another word for Vanilla, Set yourself apart from all the other "vanilla" projects.

Relaunch the app, curseforge uses a roll out method for CF app updates. Meaning it will reach you when it reaches you. Other option is to reinstall the app.

Just to make sure you do mean CurseForge right? Not the forge modloader

It's not a pre-made pack. It's all instances that I launch. I tested with 3 different ones. The current one is just straight vanilla 1.21.3 with no modloader.

If I launch Minecraft from the Minecraft default launcher or use another modlauncher it works perfectly fine.

Would check your mods, make sure you dont have anything like boarderless window or something like that. Other option is you could try deleting tyhe options.txt file. This would reset your keybinds tho

It's such an odd bug. If I launch by going to the vanilla minecraft launcher I have no issue going from fullscreen to windowed. If I launch from curseforge it's locked to fullscreen no matter what I do

Each profile will have its own options.txt file, there isnt a global one shared across all profiles.

Keep in mind as well, CF uses its own copy of the mc launcher, it doesnt use the one that saves to the .minecraft folder

did some testing so figured I would report back. If you enable "Minecraft In-Game Default Settings" in CF and launch the game. It will launch it as fullscreen and you can no longer goto window mode. If you disable "IIn-Game Default settings" it does not fix the issue.

It's odd because full screen is disabled by default in the "Minecraft In-Game Default Settings" and seems like the only way to fix it by repairing the installation

When I attempt to sign in to sync my account it gives me a few options--gmail, twitch, etc. I went to my old laptop to see what I currently have it under and apparently I never made an account (or synced my old computer with an account.) However, my old computer only gives me the option of Twitch, and I'd like to sync it to my email. How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Find your modding folder location - In the Curseforge app press the options button at the top , then press the modding folder .
2. Saving folder location - In the now opened folder window > double mouse click to enter the 'Install' folder, and then the 'runtime' folder. At the top of the window, left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+C together to save this location.

Mods are made for specific minecraft versions as well as modloaders. You cant mix and match minecraft versions or modloaders

Most devs are staying in 1.21.1 till Mojang irons out their updates/slows down on the newer content pushes. As the changes between .1 and .2/.3 require some code rewrites

2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.

4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

You would need to manually add the resource pack if the dev didnt tage it for 1.21.3. Just keep in mind. Mojang did a lot of changes in 21.2/.3 that may break older resources.

You remove the apps files. Just dont touch the folder thay contains the instances folder. Which for mac I think is in documents

AFAIK when you tell CF to change your install location it doesn't delete things, it just doesn't move them to the new location.
Admittedly there REALLY should be a checkbox to move stuff from the old location to the new.
If you're worried that stuff's lost it's not, you just have to do the move manually.
