No, only Complementary. The mod patches the shader and creates a new one with the changes I've made. I need to do it this way for licensing reasons and that way the Complementary dev also receives downloads as people have to get the original first

I have deleted all the mods, still crashed. How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
3. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

so I am stumped
So I got a new pc and redownloaded curse
I played on a mod pack and reallocated the memory curse needs then retested the mod pack and it worked fine

Now the custom mod pack I have and the premade mod pack wont load like at all
I get to the minecraft launcher and click play and then I just get stuck on a white screen and information that the program is not responding

So I thought one of the mods was the issue
So I made sure I wrote down all the mods I added and made a new custom mod pack but this time I would run the game every time I added a mod to see if the game would work

I did this till I got to a mod then I would delete the mod from the but the white screen still happened afterward, this happened several times

So I went to check the premade mod packs I have downloaded and now its doing it with them even though they were working before this started

I have updated my drivers
I have reversed my memory settings for curse forge
I don't think its the mods since now its every mod pack even ones that were working and not just a custom mod packs

Oh also after I get the white screen and the "program not responding" I get the prompt to wait for program to respond or close program. If I close the program I go back to the minecraft launcher with the error code -805306369 and the advice to adjust my memory even though I have and reset it and then changed it again

any ideas?

I have a situation where I logged in with twitch and when I went to change the capitalization of my original Discord name which is PurpleSweetTart, it reads like this right now: Purplesweettart, it said to contact support which I did. I'm well aware that tart has bad connotation in England but I live in North America and have had the same account for 13 years because it tells you how long you've had an account

So for the cf account side of things, if you logged in with twitch then changed the name in twitch, youll need to log out of the cf site then back in. If its still being a pain this would be something to bring to site support (Moderators there are not the same as the discord ones, we are only volunteers)

As for the games, CF uses its own copy of the official mc app, meaning it is designed to use that and not touch the .mniecraft folder to prevent the 2 mc apps from breaking eachothers folder structures.

The root of a drive is a good place to install this, as then you dont have to worry as much if windows pushes an update at any point that tells your pc to no longer trust apps run from the users folder....

The only reason we have the advanced option vs what the app gives by default is when a users os decides it no longer wants to behave and the games path needs to be moved out of the users folder.

If you chose the default option, and a profile is able to boot without permission issues. then your good to play

Its easier to mod minecraft using a mod manager app, as they keep each profile in their own folder. Stopping from potential mixing of mc versions.

CF will also sort the mods by the profiles mc version and modlaoder, making it easy to download mods from the CF site within the app.

2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.

5. Search and install the desired mods.

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

There is a lot in your zip that shouldnt be there. Anything modloader or instance related should be removed (logs, world, the jsons that are generated when the server boots, etc)

Only include what the serverpack needs to start for the first time
