Been having issues whenever I try and install modpacks of any modern version starting at about 1.18 anything below 1.16 installs fine but whenever I try and install, for example, All the Mods 10 the forge mod loader fails to install. This is consistently happening for versions above 1.18 of FML across both Curseforge and Modrinth. At first I assumed, maybe out of negligence, that it was a global issue for new versions but after a week or so I've come back to similar issues. Any help is greatly appreciated. The FML fails installation at what looks like patch 2/4- whatever that means-

Good morning, afternoon or evening, I came to see if you could help me solve a problem which is that every time I go out and enter minecraft without touching anything, whether in creative or survival, blocks are missing. If I search for them in creative, they don't appear, nor do they appear in jai. HI Friends, trying to upload an updated modpack, it says "Upload Failed. Unknown Error" after the Zip successfully attaches. I have tried on a Macbook, Windows Desktop - Chrome, Edge. Minecraft data is stored locally, so logging into the cf app shouldnt change anything.

If your really woried about your worlds/ data tho. you can manually backup the data (copy the folders somewhere safe) or export the profiles

4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.

1. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for the CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.
5. Once finished, click Play!

well, first, blizz doesnt tell what port it is listening at local. I found it to be 1120.
Then it downloads a few MB's, and go nearly dead to 7kbs for days or hours.
This one went good for minutes, more than 10mbps, but is dead again. I have seen 2 ip's in the traceroute being dead, and have set my provider to look into it.
There is a friend here 200 meters away, and he can download with 10MBPS all the way.

I have now been able to get it to reinstall but curseforge is still stuck on "forging your library"

why is it that you can't override the platform filter and install fabric mods on forge (e.g. for sinytra connector) or neoforge mods on forge (some are compatible but not tagged because they don't explicitly support forge anymore, like Immersive Engineering for 1.20.1)

this makes sinytra connector entrely useless for a CF modpack

and it makes many forge-compatible neoforge mods inaccessible

yeah i went there and they don't wish to officially support forge and so didn't add the tag, but i did let them know

while that's respectable regarding 1.20.1 forge/neoforge i do think that this should be able to be overridden by people who know what they are doing for compatibility layers - sinytra connector and maybe future mods that enable interop.

It is incredibly odd they went as far as to remove the Forge version for 1.20.1, considering NeoForge for that version is just Forge done up differently

Because that would cause a lot more issues. You can manually install mods for other modloaders, but there is no guarantee they will work.

i exported my pack and sent the file to my partner to install on their machine for testing
