This is the same exact issue that occured at release when CF was implemented into ARK SA. Same response in game. Logs show the same thing when you look at the issue internally. No product is perfect but to me it would make more sense to proactively predict when a map releases to be ready for this type of issue.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

Anyone else unable to play Minecraft modpacks after updating CurseForge app to 0.260 today?

I played last night, around 12 hours ago, and now each modpack I have just gives me the following in the game output log

Was able to fix the issue, I have specific executables set for Java 17/Java 21 - when I launch the modpack into the Minecraft Launcher, it is now, since updating to 0.260, putting the path to the specific java executable in the JVM arguments instead of the runtime path

The CurseForge app. In the latest update (when opening a modpack) when the user specify a Java path in the settings -> game specific -> Minecraft -> Java Versions -> Java 17 (but i think it's the same with the java 8/java 21 fields but i haven't tried yet), the app "injects" the string in the vanilla launcher wrongly (in the arguments field, instead of the java directory field). Also, the additional arguments (settings -> game specific -> Minecraft -> Additional Arguments) doesn't set at all in the vanilla launcher.

Have never had this issue in years of using Curseforge with Forge packs. But I was testing some stuff yesterday evening, had a modpack crash and decided to play another game. Come tonight, no modpacks on Curse Forge will launch at all anymore. I have tried 10 different packs (all Forge) and none work. All are Error Code 1.

I have run through numerous of the standard fix attempts such as:

Removing Java version and reinstalling (8, 17 and 21)
Repairing the profile and repairing the vanilla installation
Updating my Nvidia Graphics Driver
Running Curseforge as Admin
Allocating an appropriate amount of RAM (10,000MB)
Creating a Custom Profile and launching it with no mods to test the modloader (it still crashed with Error Code 1)
Deleting and redownloading each modpack entirely.

Vanilla Minecraft launches and plays just fine. Better Minecraft worked 2 days ago. Today it and several others do not work such as Skyfactory 4, Better Minecraft, RL Craft and numerous more.

Not sure what to try at this point. Would appreciate some assistance. According to CurseForge's support article online it claims this is a modloader issue with Forge, but I dont know how to fix this.

Do I just need to reinstall CurseForge entirely? How do I keep my progress in these modpacks? I dont want to lose everything in Better Minecraft in my friends and I's server.

Hello this forge 47.3.0, 1.20.1 modded server crashes when i try to launch it

I didn't add/remove any mods, this is the first attempt trying to launch the server. The mods all work on client-side. Im using universilator, I did scan twice for client side mods.

Zip files made by the cf app or apps thay support cf exports are for the client only. Server files are made manually

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.
