If you want to use a non-CF Launcher, I can recommend ATLauncher. Never had a single issue with it. Supports the MultiMC/Prism format too.

oh yeah no this doesn't import into cf correctly at all actually they were correct to reject it, it downloads the mods but upon launching the instance it's clear that none of the configs or scripts were loaded

Hey everyone! I've spent weeks researching and trying different things, but nothing seems to work. I have a bunch of mods for Sims 4 and went to update the mods after the last Curse Forge update, but they didn't take. No problem. I closed everything and tried again, but still nothing.

I tried updating the mods individually, deleting them, everything except deleting Curse Forge itself, and nothing has worked.

I go through the update, I’ve tried both clicking the “update mode” button and alternatively clicking the mod and updating one by one. When the installation queue is empty and they’re “done” I wait a few minutes, close curse forge, wait another few minutes then reopen it and they show the update mode icon/button again 🫠

Has anyone else ever had this issue? Should I just delete Curse Forge and restart the mods download that way? 😭

Hey, I can't get my CurseForge client to update, and thus it's not giving me updates for my WoW addons that I know have newer versions.

This has been happening for months, now. Usually I get the CurseForge client update notification (The orange wand icon), but it takes weeks sometimes, and only then can I update all of my addons.

For reference, my current client version is:
v. 0.224.3.10177

So, I just downloaded the installer from the site and reinstalled it. I'm now at v 1.258.0.19849 and my addons are updating.

However, I'd like to know if anyone has this issue still, or has fixes, for when it happens again.

Havent seen any update issues recently. Unless users are going right to a ticket and not coming here (we cant see the tickets). Otherwise in the past there have been the odd case where the app just doenst want to update for X reasons, but a clean reinstall fixes it

That's for ones you downloaded. If the author updated the pack (and you didn't turn on "allow profile management" in it's settings), then the arrows will appear

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file.

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.

The curseforge website is failing to update the page after uploading Additional Files (server pack). Sometimes showing an error and other times seeming to just “get stuck” and not do anything at all.

But the files are being silently uploaded in the background and opening a new page confirms it. It’s easy to accidentally upload multiple copies because of the lack of feedback from the UI.

Allowing 3rd party would be for allowing apps that arent the cf app to download your project without redirecting to the cf site.

Ex: if I made a mod and disabled the 3rd party, and went to download a modpack that had that mod in the prism app (or other 3rd party apps), the app would give me a link to the cf projects page to download the file manually

Having it on both cf and planetmc would likely more be a licensing thing then 3rdparty. Unless the planetmc is pulling directly from the cf download?

2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
