Also if users are downloading the modpacks from the site, then its correct that they only have 1 folder in them. Since CF exports are 2 manifest files which apps read from to know what mods to download and an overrides folder for things like configs/scrtipts/anything extra that isnt a jar or from the c site

They opened the modpack after downloading from curse's site and it did only have the overrides. this isn't caused by SPC, this is strictly breaking from curse as SPC has been working fine all day before and after this person came to us for help

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.

I attempted to download a mod (YUNG's Better Mineshafts (Forge)) to a custom 1.20.1 forge modpack profile on the Curseforge app, but it didn't work. I got an error message telling me the version of forge I was using for the custom modpack (47.2.0) was incompatible with the mod. So I tried to download that mod individually to its own new profile, but it only had an option for the 1.20.4 version of the mod along with various 49.0.x versions of forge. The curseforge website page for the mod lists files for a number of different MC versions including several for 1.20.1. Is this an issue between the website and the app or is there some other issue here?

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

i helped someone get server files working for that yesteerday, you just remove EuphoriaPatcher-0.3.0-fabric and ItemLocks-Fabric-1.20.1-1.3.6 from the mods includd with client, and load fabric as a server

curseforge is not the thing setting the java - it's the vanilla launcher. when the vanilla launcher pops up you would need to go edit settings to point to the javaw.exe you want to use

Not every mod exists for every version of minecraft, so it'd be near impossible to implement such a thing flawlessly.

Hey, I am trying to run Valhelsia 6 but I am receiving Exit Code 1. I've tried looking for a fix online but nothing seems to be helping.
Things I've tried:
Updated my GeForce Drivers
Uninstalled every mod I had apart from the modpack mods in the curseforge folder
Tried starting minecraft normally, thinking that maybe that version wasn't installed, it was, it launched without issues. Tried starting the modpack again, crashed, exit code 1.
Decided to create an empty profile on Forge, without any mods, launched it - crashed as well.

Hey i have linux peppermint os i want to download some mods for Minecraft i downloaded curse forge file it's of zip and when I extract it it's shows a app image but it's opening with archive manager and also I downloaded the mod file like i downloaded sevtech ages of the sky mod download of 1.12.2 it's of zip only then i copyied it to the minecraft mods folder but when I open the launcher and game it doesn't have that mod

And I also tried to download forge and through command line it shows successfully inserted forge client in the launcher but when I opened the Launcher there was no forge

Sevtech ages is a modPACK not a mod. Need a mod manager like CF or prism to properly install the zip file

To use the cf app you need to make sure you have the appimage launcher installed for your distro and run it using that as it is an appimage.

Alternatively, can do what I do and just use prism(Garuda)

Hey there! I am new here. I used to play Better MC Forge last year and decided to play again now, but for some reason any modpack that I install in CurseForge doesn't load my skin. I have PC Game Pass and my skin is already configured on the Mojang site as usual. Through default minecraft launcher the skin loads fine, it doesn't work only on CurseForge.

Tried disabling firewall, repairing installation, disabled some mods to see if it was one of them that was causing the issue but noting really helped. Any ideas? I can't find anything on the web.

also I tried to reupload the version after waiting 1h but it is rejected like within 30 seconds :D (I didn't know it is forbidden)

Just for future reference, I managed to fix my skin not showing issue by adding -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true as additional argument on CurseForge. Something related to forcing IPV4. Hope that is helpful to someone in the future.

I'm having problems with crazy craft updated. Before the mod was fine but i added enigmatic legacy to it and it started to act up. I'm not sure why but now it finishes with the deep scan, then the memory heap slows down to almost a halt. I don't have this problem with any other mod pack I've downloaded, is there anything i can do to fix this?

How to install mods in the CurseForge app

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
4. Start the game!
