Nevermind, I fixed it, basically the whole thing is f-ed whenever I create a profile it works fine but when re- leaunching it starts to throw exit error code 1. But when I completly delete the profile and all versions that the profile has installed, and completly reinstall it with a new profile since profile repair doesn't help, only then it works again, and btw you have to install all the mods on profile before the first launch since the second time you launch the game the whole jar files will be corrupted and won't work which is total bs btw, can you guys fix that or something

hello, i made a custom mod profile on forge with 10 mods and a shader, and all of the mods seemed to work but the shader would not. I downloaded all the mods so that they are using the latest minecraft version 1.20.6 and the shader (which is complementary shaders unbound) says it supports 1.20.6

I wasn't looking for performance mods. I was pointing out that the mod I linked to was a fake mod written by a user that has done this repeatedly. And THOUSANDS of users have downloaded these mods. There have been cases where people have done this in the past and then used this to slip in malicious mod updates down the line. It's a safety issue for users of the site.

How to add/remove mods in a modpack:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Since it's a dedicated server it'll stay on until you turn your computer off (or it crashes). The simple way to do this is download the server pack for the modpack you wish to play with friends, unzip it, place Universalator inside that unzipped folder, then put that folder in your C:\ root.
Then just run Universalator.bat inside the server folder and follow the instructions. Make sure you have enough RAM to run both that server and your client at the same time (I recommend you have a computer with 16GB total).

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.

Open the zip > overrides folder > mods folder. If any of the mods are from the CF app, reinstall them using the cf app. If they arent remove em

Ok, I did some test and It seems that the DNS servers of the ISP Orange (France) are the cause of the issue. I wasn't using 1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9, they are the fallback DNS servers.

I manually entered 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and all works fine if I don't switch tab. Try again with 1.1.1.1 and 9.9.9.9, all works fine again. So, my ISP DNS seems to be $h!-.

I'm developing an application to send minecraft worlds between players to avoid using servers and all the costs with it, and I'm trying to launch the game with my software, but to do that I need the user to input 3 folders. This takes some time, so I would like to make a function that tries to assume the folders, but for it to be clear, I would like to use the curseforge logo as a button to click on. Could I use the logo on the button or not?

Well we use a mod to play together, so let's say I have the latest version of the world, Then they join with Essential and we can just play normally on the world. If I have to go, I upload the world to a google drive (automatically) and someone else downloads it.

Then they host it and upload it again if they're done etc. etc.

Upload time is currently around 5 min and download is 30 sec. So for us it's totally worth it saving $8 a month while using the full potential and render distances etc. for the game.

If you want to have a look I have a pretty outdated video on youtube explaining how it works, and I've been really upgrading the software so it would be awesome if I could use the logo, but of course I also understand it if it's not okay.

What you're wanting to do is certainly possible since it's just saving worlds to a Dropbox, but you're all going to need to be careful about nuking the current world build on a constant basis

I don’t really understand what you mean by nuking the current world build, but I’ve totally finished this project with a lot of other functions besides the upload and download aswell, and we’ve been testing it with a world of ours for 2 months straight right now with no issues.

hey, hellowo Ive just installed curseforge through Overwolf and I was trying to set it up to play with friends using 3 mods, JEI, Aether and AppleSkin

I have failed to make it work tho, dunno whats happening, I keep getting this error code
I tried running the profile with all mods disabled
have tried creating new profiles, installed java 22 and 21, none of that worked so far
updated GPU driver

one of my friends did basically the same thing as me, but it worked for him
dunno what else I could try and cannot trace the root of the problem
would anyone give me any direction on what to look for pleeease

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

:small_orange_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)
