I played with mods for a long time until one day when I opened the launcher (via Curse Forge), I pressed

to play, however the game crashed before it even opened. I received exit code 1. No matter

All versions of Forge for Minecraft 1.13 up to and including 1.16.5 are not compatible with M1/M2 Mac due to Apple removing support for methods used by Forge. This would need to be fixed by Apple.

Fix:
Use a Forge version below Minecraft 1.13 or above 1.16.5.
Some people have reported that leaving the game minimized until it has loaded completely can work

but to actually play together you will need to open to lan (if on the same network) or run a server/use a bridging mod like e4mc if you are on a different network

so i have a recent problem with my Minecraft app on curseforge ofc. i googled to see if others had the same issue as me for mac users i found someone who did have the same issue. Its a deleted user and i followed the steps and now it says that i need to buy the game again (which i def do not have the money for atm and it also seems weird that if have to buy the game again).

so my question is what do it do to fix it ? this is the steps that i followed

It launches the launcher first, and then Minecraft.exe.
But it's not 100% sure that it will work, best case would be if you tried.
It's not something that can be expected from CurseForge.

Friday, Saturday: No Moderation!

Projects are moderated First in, First out. If you submit late in the work day, it will likely get left until the next day!

New Projects or anything flagged for manual review: 1-3 Working Days
Updates to approved projects not needing manual approval: 1 Hour
-If your file has been "Under Review" for more than an hour, then it is at manual review!
