Hey! I am new to the server because I am hoping for some help. I installed Better MC 4 and I added Forgematica (a litematica port for Forge) and MaFgLib for Forgmatica to work. But when I launch the pack, I get an error stating Forgematica :

Currently, malilib is not installed

Yes, but the error is from the mc launcher, which curseforge opened. Once a game opens the CF app isnt in play anymore. Its just a mod manager.

2. Saving folder location - In the now opened folder window > double mouse click to enter the 'Install' folder, and then the 'runtime' folder. At the top of the window, left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+C together to save this location.
3. Open the graphics settings window - Use Windows search (hotkey ) entering the text 'GPU' - and click on 'Graphics Settings'.
4. Add Java executables - Click the 'Browse' button below the text 'Add an app'. In the folder window left mouse click the top location bar in the empty space to the right of any text. Press CTRL+V together to paste the folder location and then press enter. -- Each folder showing is a different java installation - double mouse click one of them > then the only folder showing in each new location > then the folder named 'bin'. I just uploaded a zip file of an addon for Cataclysm Beta to curseforge, and I'm 99% sure I didn't do anything right. The addon just displays your map coordinates at the top of the game screen and it's working fine. It's my first contribution, though, and I kind of sped through the process of becoming a creator on curseforge. I made an icon for the project and uploaded that. Then I zipped the two files in the project (toc and lua files) and uploaded the zip file. After doing that, it occurred to me that I probably should have zipped the PlayerCoords folder itself rather than the individual files. What should I do, now?

and found it logged me out...
I click the icon to log back in... it opens a new tab in Firefox for me..
it says

but the Windows client remains unlogged in.

I even tried logging out and in on the website, after which I tried again to login in the Windows standalone client...

hello, i've been having this problem for several days. i sent it here and after a lot of problems they said to solve it by updating the amd drivers. I tried to do it but I couldn't because at the end of the installation it tells me: "Error 207- The installation of AMD Software was completed successfully, but Windows detected a possible problem with the video device". then it sends me to a page that tells me to install the AMD Software Compatibility Tool, which says: "The version of AMD Software installed is already a compatible version. Please check if the AMD Display Driver is working correctly." but in reality I don't even know how to open the display driver because nothing appears, neither from the pc nor from AMD. then I tried to go to nvidia's geforce experience drivers because I'd already had different problems with curseforge and when I updated the geforce drivers it solved the problem, but in this case it didn't do anything because there were no updates to be made. I've been told to look at the drivers in windows itself and windows defender but I don't know how to do it. anyone who can help, thank you and I apologise for the english, I'm portuguese and I translated for deepl. thank you.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option

Im trying to start a modded server on Aternos with the mods crazy craft updated and Biomes O' Plenty but when I try to join the server on minecraft it says "this modded server is not network compatible with your modded client please verify your forge version closely matches the server. Got net version 3 this server net version 2" is this showing up because i have installation 1.19.3 of forge? also kinda weird but i've played Crazy Craft Updated and Biomes 'O Plenty on the same world with this installtion on single player mode plus many more mods which I dont get. Looks like a possible compatibility issue with betterend and the connector mod. Forge and Fabric mods/modloaders were never designed to work together. The connectior mod may force em too, doesnt mean mods will work

That mod doesnt just force forge and fabric to work together. It also drags in any/all issues both loaders can have. Not to mention neither Forge nor Fabric were designed to work together.

More errors will come up, better to just stick to 1 modloader.

Also makes finding issue a lot harder. As both forge and fabric complain about eachothers classes a bit as well.

I don't think there's a mod called "Iris". Iris has something to do with optifine and optifine seems to be crashing

I tried playing some mods on 1.20.1 and i got the exit code 1, i did a custom profile with no mods: same result, updated java: same result, updated my grafic driver: same result, reinstalled cureforge: same result. Fabric works for some reason but i really want to use forge. Any way to fix this?

hey guys, i have an ongoing issue with curseforge. I just finished deleting all cc and mods and reinstalled and all of them have tht yellow warning triangle that says i need to reinstall. This was the reason why i decided to delete everything and start over. I have a lot of cc and mods from curseforge and it's annoyinh having to click on every icon to reinstall. I havent even been able to play my game yet.

It means the app has an issue, but they will be fine in game. Try running the 'Scan mods folder' option, it's fixed it for others.

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

hey! i'm trying to run forge on minecraft to mod it. i have no mods installed, i'm just trying to get the forge loader to work, but it crashes every time. i've tried the trick where you download java and manually set the path to the executable, i've tried uninstalling minecraft, java, forge, and even windows. i've updated windows, i've updated my graphics drivers, i've tried both going through the curseforge application, and manually downloading forge and booting it through minecraft that way. none of what i've tried works.

the error i get is a 1, and i can share the crashlog. does anyone have any ideas on what i can do? vanilla minecraft boots just fine, so its not that.

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

:small_orange_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)
