Like you would any other mod as far as I'm aware. Also don't use Optifine, use embeddium or something instead. It's called OptiCrash here for a reason.

Hello i recently uploaded a modpack of mine but a friends want s to host ti on his server now when wanting to select it it says no server files . I took the mods and config folder from my modpack and installed the right forge server onto them ran the .bat file and after giving me the UP_TO_DATE it said press any button to close window. Should i now just zip the server folder and upload it onto curseforge alongside my modpack? Would appreciate the help

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
Go to the Files tab on the project.
Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
Click Upload Additional File.
Fill out the form.

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

:small_blue_diamond: Export and Share - For Friends / Small Groups

Click the Icon for the modpack.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

:small_orange_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

Go to create a new project
Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

I didn't know if this goes to Sims 4 or CurseForge but I felt as though this fit CurseForge a bit more. I have been downloading a good amount of mods from CruseForge for the past 2 or 3 days and I get on to check out more mods and to check on the mods I downloaded. And I see that I have an Error on half or almost all the mods that I have downloaded. And it's not letting me update them cause it says “Updates are only available for mods downloaded from CurseForge” but all these mods I have downloaded came from the app so I’m lost on that. And it's like a lot of mods I have downloaded and it's gonna take me forever to update them one by one. And I have auto-install updates on what do I do?

At the moment only the steam version is detectable. This is due to how Microsoft handles filer permissions for the Gamepass. No eta on when/if the Gamepass will be usable.

Other games have had issues with Gamepass as well.

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
Go to the Files tab on the project.
Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
Click Upload Additional File.
Fill out the form.

Mc is using the gpu. So the cpu issues would just be mc being mc. Its a very resource intensive game.

However allocating 16gb is not helping your cpu, could actually be making things worse

#


Instead of speeding up the game, it slows down the cpus processing by trying to process all the ram, used or unused.

This is not overly healthy for your CPU and RAM, as it would be the same as running a stress test, but on 1 cpu core...```

hello, im having issues when trying to open the newer modpacks, (chosens modded adventure, all the mods 9). In the minecraft launcher it crashes as can be seen in the notification attached. I have also attached the crash report. Ive googled this problem and tried the following suggestions, repair installation, updated my Nvidia drivers, reinstalled minecraft java and curseforge but they dont seem to work. How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
Right click it and Open File Location
Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
Click Browse
Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
Click the Options button on the newly added option
Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

At the moment only the steam version is detectable. This is due to how Microsoft handles filer permissions for the Gamepass. No eta on when/if the Gamepass will be usable.

Other games have had issues with Gamepass as well.

Hi, I need some help. I use curseforge for my minecraft modpacks, but it seems to have completely broken. When I press play on any modpack, it just does nothing. No launcher, no game, no error, nothing.

I have completely reinstalled curseforge several times, removing all trace files I can find anywhere on my computer, restarted my computer several times, reinstalled curseforge and a fresh modpack (just a random one) without touching anything else. Nothing.

I'm running Windows 11 and I'm very confused.

Hi, I've been using CurseForge for about 6 weeks now to play modded Minecraft, with no issues. However now the last few days, I can no longer open the CurseForge app, just nothing happens when I try to open it. I've tried running as administrator, disabled anti-virus and tweaked firewall and all of the common fixes but nothing works. I don't really want to re-install out of fear of losing my progress. How to install mods in the CurseForge app

Click + Create Custom Profile
Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
Click the profile icon.
Click Add More Content
Search and install the desired mods.
Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
Click Open Folder.
Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
Start the game!

Hi all, I'm just wondering what the normal turn around for curseforge support tickets tend to be? One of my tickets is outstanding at 12 days with zero response still, it's for an addon I've created that was approved for weeks and then got changed to rejected due to some sort of oversight. I've done what was needed on my side (I think) for the addon to line up with curseforge's requirements and I've deleted the version releases of the add-on that were previously uploaded so that the ones that would not line up with what curseforge allows should no longer be available to players once the addon is back to an approved status

Click the drop down for Display Adapters
Check if you have an AMD (Radeon) device
a - If you have AMD go to Part 2 :small_orange_diamond:
b - If you see AMD and Nvidia or Intel go to Part 3 :small_blue_diamond:

Your AMD drives are broken or out of date, use the link below to get new drivers
Link: https://www.amd.com/en/support
Use either the auto tool AMD provides OR locate your GPU in their search.
Download and run the installer, leave everything as default.
Once installed try playing Minecraft again.

How to get your profile logs on CurseForge for support

Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
Click Open Folder.
Open the logs folder.
Drag and drop the FILE named latest OR debug into discord.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
Right click it and Open File Location
Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
Click Browse
Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
Click the Options button on the newly added option
Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have
