If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option

Modded mc has always had issues with wifi. Larger packets, timeout on wifi. See it a lot

If the connection is unstable or the network is in use by multiple people it can have issues. Can try sending the cf app logs if you want me to confirm its network or not

curseforge does not have private server hosting for games - for that you would go to a 3rd party server hosting website. you can also self-host a server instance on one of your computers if one of you has a beefy enough computer to run that and the regular game together, or an extra computer. either way if you want to discuss more go to #🧱︱mc-other-help

you can't. it becomes a custom profile that gets imported. when you install modpacks off the website what it is doing to generate the icons is determined by the website project of the modpack being installed.

Hi, There's a peculiar problem I've been having for many years now.

Whenever I play 1.16.5 packs I always end up crashing at random moments for no reason, no it's not something in the world causing me to crash, it's for EVERY 1.16.5 pack I've played, this problem has persisted since 1.16.5 became moddable, no matter the pack, I end up crashing eventually, the crashes are also not consistent as they can happen at any time for no reason.

The error code it give is 1 which is quite broad.
Here's the latest log I have, taken only minutes before this message in the modpack "sky capsule project". I was playing in multiplayer but the problem exists even in singleplayer.

Its a bedrock addon from an untrusted site. It will not work on Java edition either

Java edition uses mods, Bedrock uses addons. You cant use Java mods on bedrock, nor can you used Bedrock addons on java

4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.

ah ok I see what happened. So the Curseforge app actually uses its own copy of the officail mc app. This is just so that the Curseforge folders dont break the .minecraft folder and vice versa.

Your worlds from the .minecraft folder are still safe.

1: Close cf and the mc it uses, then boot vanilla mc as you would before

I am trying to understand why some of the addons I use for the game WoW (WoTLK classic) appear to be "out of date" in the in-game addons list, even tough the CurseForge app recognises them as "up to date". All my addons are downloaded from the CurseForge app, and I even re-installed them recently.
I'm lagging and my FPS drop below 50 in specific raid boss encounters, even though I bought a new gaming lenovo laptop recently, with:

if you try to download the same version as the server you wont find that one, youll only find the 1.18.2 version
