That's why you need an actual shader mod to use the shader itself. Install oculus and embeddium. If you install oculus from the app remove rubidium first, because it installed as a dependency but embeddium is better

Hey can anyone help figure out why my friend keeps crashing when he tries to load a modpack for one of our friends servers? Whenever the game opens it flashes the "saving world" screen for half a seond then he crashes. He doesn't have this issue with vanilla minecraft and the curseforge version runs fine when he takes the mods out of the folder. I can send the crash report

What's going on with Ark Ascended? Curseforge is automatically sorting mods on our Nitrado server control page. The Ark Ascended community cannot manually sort our load orders anymore. Nitrado customer support responded and said they have no control over it. Which has led me here to find Curseforge Support.

The auto sort function/bug; is not sorting mods that have a high top priority dependency correctly. As server renters we should have the ability to sort our mods manually if we desire to do so. Is this an intended feature or a bug? The first 2 weeks we could sort our load orders manually no problem. Just recently four days ago or so, the system changed and auto-sorts our mod string ID numbers on the website.

I have the same issue that @stiff frigate is describing and have reached a dead end with Nitrado support. Please look into this as its necessary in order for certain mod configurations to exist for servers.

I'm with micmou, by "doesn't work" we mean, it embeds the video but the video shows as "Video unavailable" in the Description view.

Cf uses a different launcher to the other one. You must launch the pack through CF but once the launcher opens curseforge can be closed

It does not use the MS store launcher

It uses a bundled one

As such you must always launch through CF first

Everytime I go to update a minecraft modpack (any modpack), it's getting stuck in "Pending in Queue", even if I have no other updates/downloads going. I thought it was my VPN, but it's turned off. I can't figure out how to fix it, and I can't update any of my modpacks because of it. Also, I can't cancel it, either.

I had a corrupt windows file, so i had to reinstall a ton of stuff including wow and curseforge. I was able to recover the addon and WTF folder, but i am unable to update my addons as curseforge cant find the addons when i scan my addon folder. When i click "open addon folder" it goes to the correct folder with all my addons in them though.

Changing Java version for installing Forge

1. Download and install this
2. Open CurseForge and click the in the bottom left corner.
3. Go to the Minecraft tab and scroll down to "Java version used for installing Forge modloader"
4. Click Select
5. In the file explorer window that opens, click on This PC, then Windows (C:)
6. Open the Program Files folder, then the Java folder, then the jdk-17.0.3.1 folder, then the bin folder.
7. Click on javaw.exe, then confirm it with Open, in the bottom right of file explorer.

Hello guys i am trying to isntall Better MC [Forge]-BMC4 via curseforge and the download is just messed up. I have a stable internet connection and a not so bad dowload speed (usually 7 Mb/s) but when i try to install the modpack it just gets stuck first at 3% and then again at 6% and just crashes after a while. I also tried downloading it from the Website but the download slowed down after a few seconds to the point of 50KB/s and when it finally finished the mods folder was empty (configs for all the mods where installed correctly). A newly created custom profile with forge and no mods installed worked fine (tho taking quite some time to install aswell)
also reinstalled overwolf and curse forge already

Well thats the problem. I had a modpack with sodium and it caused a few issues. First of all it showed that its not compatible and second of all it made pretty much all my texture packs not work

As soon as I removed sodium it worked just fine. Fullbright worked, clear lava and water worked

I am trying to go from ATM8 to ATM9 but it is crashing A LOT. Is ATM9 more unstable or is it an issue with my setup? The error code I have seen is -1. It is happening during world creation; crashes during creation but is there to enter after reboot, or when pasting large structures.

You can't import a world, only modpacks. You have to copy paste the world in a identical pack (modloader, minecraft version, etc)

Hey everyone I'm having some trouble launching my modpack. If I play something like all the mods then my game will open. However if I play a custom pack made by a friend, once I press play in curseforge, it will open the mc launcher, then when I press play in the mc launcher the game doesn't open. It just opens "OpenJDK Platform binary" in my task manager. This is probably just one of the mods preventing this right?

I'm trying to create a server pack for my custom modpack, I followed a guide found here:

When trying to upload it to Curseforge, I can't find a specific option to choose "server files" so uploading it as usual thinking the moderation team will understand they're server files (the file name is literally called "Server-Files-v1.1"), however, it says I need the manifest.json file. Will they still approve it as server files if I add that?

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

My pc didnt like the fancy name you gave the pack. The fancy letters tend to screw up most os file paths. Changing it to basic english letters fixed the issue.

I hope this is the correct channel to ask this, but i have a question about creating modpacks, in this case, for minecraft

I have created with a friend a modpack which already runs on our server, its designed to be played by low specs pcs.

But i want to create a pararel modpack, with the same server-sided mods, but with extra client-sided features like shaders, resource packs, and mods to make it more beautiful. Thing is, i want to give players the option to install either the low-spec option or the high-end option, all whitin the same page, but no one over the other.

Is there an option to do this? To create two pararels versions of a modpack? Or should i just create another modpack with the high-end profile?

you can publish multiple files and just give them different names as different versions, and make the names clear for what they are. honestly though this is usually over-thinking things but you can do that.
