Hey there, I'm at my wits end with ARK Survival Ascended.
When I joined a specific modded server, I could not connect. I had pre-installed all the mods, and when I tried to join it said "Installing Super Spyglass +" and the % would jump around, 20, 100, 15, 20, 50, all over the place. Then it would immediately go to "No session found!" and it let me in once, then once I spawned in it forcibly disconnected me and had the same issue. Similar happened on another server, joined fine the first time and every followup had the mod issue.
I've tried everything I could under basics and Steam forums. Reinstalled the mods manually again, restarted the device, steam, and game, validated game files, next on my list is reinstalling the game and I really don't want to do that.

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Cuz according to your log, error, if you have an nvidia gpu, the mc the cf app is using, is likely using you amd cpu.

My listing was set to Classic Votifier, but the votifier tester worked for both Classic/V1 votifier, but not V2. I switched it from Classic to V1 for the time being to see if that does anything. How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Currently having an issue where my pack is being rejected due to not having a "avaliable" version of Iris and Sodium. heres the automatic response via notifcations:

i thought to ask here before going towards the support team
these exact same files are within an older version of my modpack but now it gets flagged down for these files, since these are the latest versions of the mods for 1.20.1 fabric and itd be poor of me to upload a pack without such essential mods, what can i do?

override files are normally needed for mods only hosted on something like modrith, where Iris and Sodium now reside and have seemingly shell projects on Curseforge.

The following files belong to CurseForge-hosted projects, and should therefore not be added directly to zip files:

• Remove any mods listed in the error message from the profile you exported. Then reinstall them with the CurseForge app. DO NOT drag and drop files from the site.

• Export the profile again, open the new zip that was just made. Check for the overrides/mods folder. If you still see any mods in that folder do the step above again for each mod.

• Upload the zip once complete and no more mods show in the overrides/mods folder.

Just yesterday I was able to change the versions of the modpack I was playing. Now with this new updated "feature" of searching by versions or entering text in the version search box, which doesn't appear in my app at all, I am unable to change versions or update the mods I play... It's no longer in the 3 dots next to the play button under "change mod version" where we used to select the update version of the mod to play. I can't find anywhere else where I can change mod versions or update the mod to it's current version. Why was this removed???

Timeout/WebClient errors are a result of networking issues with your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

1. Restart your computer
2. Restart your router/modem
3. Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi

5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. 3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.

What's going on with Ark Ascended? Curseforge is automatically sorting mods and the Nitrado server community cannot manually sort our load orders anymore. Nitrado customer support responded and said they have no control over it. I needed to contact Curseforge.

This wouldn't be an issue but the auto sort function is not sorting mods that have a high top priority dependency. As server renters we should have the ability to sort our mods manually if we desire to do so. Is this an intended feature or a bug? The first 2 weeks we could sort our load orders manually no problem.

Now we cannot un-do the auto sorting at all. Manually inputting the mod string into the ini doesn't override Cueseforge. Neither does using Ark Beacon imports. Please tell me this isn't an intended feature to strip our ability to run our servers the way we would like to.

The instances folder is where your modpacks would be. Your "profiles" are stored there. Assuming you open it and find it you should be able to see that curseforge folder in the path. Once you find that go back to the cf app where you checked the modding path and point it to that folder

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
