How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.

I keep getting issue of "could not load lauuncher core" basically curseforge seems to not be properly installing the launcher.dll or any of that and my game wont work throuhg curseforge anymore after reinstalling curseforge. Also, I;ve already tried running as admin and also of course reinstalling curseforge.

it's not an issue with java though because I installed the minecraft launcher throuhg the actual minecraft website and evrythign loads normal...launcher works, game loads and downloads all updates normally...problem is solely with curseforge

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

turned in a ticket but maybe someone has run into this issue before. curse forge seems to install fine but when I go to browse modpacks to install, it says there was an error and to try again later, refreshing does nothing. when I had modpacks originally installed, they wouldnt load. Lan and Modded MC has never worked all that well, as Minecraft's LAN was really only built to support Vanilla. Modded introduces a lot more files that may need to be synced per player, this can be taxing on a lan connection, due to the host needing to work double time (or more depending on player count)

Easiest fix: make a local server and join it !mc-installserver OR rent/find a server online to join.

Not sure what you did on that xml. Do keep in mind that those manifest files are shall we say temperamental. One wrong typo or space can result in the rejection because it's invalid. It's part of.why we said the other method and didn't believe you that it got approved

Hey guys, could anyone help me with a problem I'm having with the Curseforge app (stand alone ver., using it for WoW Retail only). The app doesn't notify me properly when there is an update to an addon. It's been like this for months now and it's quite a pain.

refreshing the "My Addons" page doens't help too

it does RANDOMLY notify me about new updates for some addons sometimes like the Threat Plates addon below but there is definitely an update for Weakauras here but somehow the app shows that Weakauras is "Up to date" even with the My Addons page refreshed

My painful workaround is to check each of my 20 millions addons one by one and reinstall them all one by one every time before I launch the game but that's just 🤦🏻‍♀️ so any help would be appreciated

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

So I was looking at the overhauled villages mods by ChoiceTheorum and ran into the many addons and mod crossovers for it, like the Chef's Delight mod for ChoiceTheorum's Overhauled Villages and Farmer's Delight. I was wondering if that one crossover mod only made the two compaitable or if I needed both of the mods installed to use it.

Essentially to use the Overhauled Villages and Chef's Delight mods together I need Both of those mods and the CTOV - Chef's Delight Compatibility pack or do I just need the compatibility pack?

How to open a support ticket on the CurseForge app

1. Click the icon in the bottom left.
2. Select Open a Ticket.
3. Fill out the form with accurate detailed information, keep in mind that simply saying 'it' or 'doesn't work' is very vague. The more details you provide, the more efficient help you will get.

In case you still haven’t gotten an answer, the three ways to apply a datapack are:

Create a new world, click datapacks on world creation screen, drag and drop datapack onto that screen, click right arrow on datapack so it moves to right side. Create world

Second way is for existing world, open the world save in file explorer, open datapack folder, drag the datapack into that folder. Enter the world now

Third way is put on a mod that loads datapacks like Global Packs mod. Put datapack in resourcepacks folder. Enter any world and datapack is now active

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Here is what you should do:

• Remove any mods listed in the error message from the profile you exported. Then reinstall them with the CurseForge app. DO NOT drag and drop files from the site.

• Export the profile again, open the new zip that was just made. Check for the overrides/mods folder. If you still see any mods in that folder do the step above again for each mod.

• Upload the zip once complete and no more mods show in the overrides/mods folder.

Remove the mod and re-add it with the app.

If it's an external mod (downloaded from an external site, or put into the mods folder manually), it needs to be on the allowed 3rd party mods list.
