And suddenly shows a thing that
'Forge Modloder instalation failed'

And i tired again and agin it showed same.

Avoid installing Minecraft files in the following locations

I created a Modpack on a PC with Windows, and successefully used it there. Now i moved the folder to a Mac and opened it there, but the following error message always comes up when I start the Modpack and Patch 4 of 6 is applying.

How to get started with shaders

Playing with a shaders mod like Oculus, Iris, or others and want more flair to your world? Don’t know what shader to pick from or where to look? try looking on Shaderlabs or the customization tab on the CurseForge site.

To get started using shaders:

1. Download the shader mod and its requirements for the mod loader you’re using and run the game at least once to generate the shaderpacks folder
2. Download the shader you want from either the CurseForge site or Shaderlabs (linked above)
3. In the CurseForge app, right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile
4. Click Open Folder
5. Open the shaderpacks folder and place the shader file you downloaded in there
6. Select the shader file in the in-game shaders menu and wait for it to load (if it needs to)
7. Play!

WARNING: Shaders do not appear on the CurseForge app. Not every shader will work with Iris or Oculus. Be aware of your computer's ability to handle shaders

It was, I downloaded your pack, removed it from the manifest and was able to install the pack correctly. Can either tell you how to edit the manifest OR just give you the fixed export

Quick question first: Did you manually edit the manifest file before OR use another app to create the export.zip? Something other then the CurseForge app?

As for your file, Edit the manifest.json file > find the section that has the projectid 627557 > then delete the block its part of, including the [ ],

Save then try importing your zip into the cf app to make sure it works. Export your pack again then upload

How to find a faulty mod/plugin/addon by using 'Binary Search' or '50/50'

A binary search is a way of finding a faulty mod/plugin/addon when you have a lot of them, but without having to remove them one-by-one.

The procedure is simple:

1. Take half of the existing mods/plugins/addons, and move them out, into another folder.
2. Run the game.
3. Does the issue still persist?
   • If YES: Repeat from step 1 with the current things.
   • If NO: Swap out the current things with the ones you moved out, and repeat from step 1.
4. Repeat this process until the problematic mod(s)/plugin(s)/addon(s) have been found.

If your supporting multiple versions at the same time for modpacks, generally best to make different projects for those packs. Kinda like how atm has versions 1-9

The pixelmon mod itself is a pretty big mod, lots of files to install. Users on wifi have found this to cause really slow installs. Too many pixelmon files....

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.

Oh so basically forge is trying to run the game on the internal graphics instead of the GPU? That would explain why running any version of forge, on curseforge or even just the default launcher, it just crashes with the exact same thing

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
7. Under Graphics performance preference (called Custom options for apps in Win 11) select Desktop App
8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
10. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
11. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
12. Click the Options button on the newly added option
13. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

hi, I'm new to curse forge, and I've never tried to mod anything before. I'm trying to get my Minecraft to run through forge, but it crashes immediately before it even leaves the launcher page. it runs perfectly fine with java, it only does it when I put it through the Forge installation. How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

You could also use this community made tool for installing packs! Instructions are provided on the site.

How to install mods in the CurseForge app

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)
4. Start the game!

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.

4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.

Avoid installing Minecraft files in the following locations

Hello I have some questions about the requirements for suggesting a mod that isn't on Curseforge (Minecraft)

This one confuses me, if the mod is not on curseforge, how will that creator earn rewards? Unless I am misunderstanding what that means

What is "No conditions beyond credit-" etc, what is that referring to exactly? Is it applicable in this case?

alpha is invisible in the new sites file list unless you have the 'show alpha files' toggle on, and in the app wont be offered as an update unless the user has the preffered release type set to alpha (by default its release or beta, i cant remember which)

(tho in the app at any time they can go into the versions list and choose any file, including alpha)

provided nothing goes wrong a file status is synced to the client when you change it (usually needs an app restart)
if it doesnt happen in a couple of hours it may of gotten stuck in the cache, and needs to be invalidated. if that happens ask here and we can get someone to do that

How can I add Complementary Shaders Reimagined into my modpack without being rejected after the curseforge update?
If I try to add it using a link it will tell me missing manifest file, but if I download manually and add to shaderpack I will receive a modpack rejection because the project id belong to Complementary Shaders Reimagined

I can't find it directly in cf app, but If I download it trough cf website on browser and insert it in the shaderpack it will get rejected due to the project id

looks like its a known issue, but there isnt an eta on when it is getting fixed
for now you can manually edit the manifest.json to remove that project and file id, if you feel comfortable doing that, or you can remove shaders from the shaderpacks folder before exporting
