Timeout/WebClient errors are a result of networking issues with your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:

1. Restart your computer
2. Restart your router/modem
3. Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi
4. Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
5. If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable

Is there a way to change what monitor the MC Launcher opens on. cause it loads on my YT monitor while im watching vids. and i have to drag it back everytime.

Back in 2020 there used to be a glitch where it'd just open off screen to where you could hardly click it

1: This one is more related to just how the os treats secondary screens. Sometime you can drag an app over then close it on the second screen. I have the same issue with my 2 monitors. its a 50/50 on if it will remember where it last closed

2: Some of the old categories may not be updated for more recent versions. but a lot of people still build in the old versions as well. So the categories are helpful for them. As cf supports all versions of mc vs the mod loaders that only support the latest.

theres one issue ive always had with curse. that I know will never get adjusted even if they got payed to do it.

So the week I’ve been having this issue where whenever I power on my computer and boot up CurseForge a few seconds after CurseForge opens the app and all other apps on my desktop if there are any freeze. trying to CTRL+ALT+DELETE dosen’t do anything and clicking Windows Power Restart just causes the desktop and all other computer functions to stop responding too. The only way it can be fixed is by powering down my PC fully with the button then turning it back on. Then all works fine and normal with 0 issues.

I tried turning off Quick Bootup thinking that may be the issue but that also didn’t resolve it. What do I do? What is the isssue?

We didnt make the original pack, nor do we know what you added. making this a finding a broken needle in a stack of needles.

either need to reinstall and not edit the pack. Make your own pack from scratch OR start over and test the pack every 5 mods or so till it stops working.

Most dont help with modified pre-made packs as those packs were made the way they were for a specific reason. Meaning making changes is entering a new teritory that is very difficult to support.

Users that edit pre-made packs take on that issue when they decide to do it. Its a lot harder to debug an edited pack then it is to debug one that was made from scratch.

The alternative way to binary search

Follow the steps below for an alternate method to binary search:

1. Make a new profile, same versions as the last one
2. Test the profile with no mods
3. Add 1-5 mods to the profile (using the app)
4. Test the profile, does it boot / can you make a world?

• If NO Remove the mods you just added then test the pack again

5. Repeat this process until the problematic mod(s)/plugin(s)/addon(s) have been found

A binary search is a way of finding a faulty mod/plugin/addon when you have a lot of them, but without having to remove them one-by-one.

2. Run the game.
3. Does the issue still persist?
   • If YES: Repeat from step 1 with the current things.
   • If NO: Swap out the current things with the ones you moved out, and repeat from step 1.

Disabling it doesn’t seem to affect whether access is denied for it. I actually don’t know what is preventing it from working. I assumed it was my other protection but it seems like it’s something unrelated? There’s a stack exception listed in the tool, but I’m not familiar enough with it to really understand what it implies

I may have been scanning too large of a selection, it seems to be working now that I’ve narrowed its scan to each individual instance my bad. What’s the extent of damage this did, should I be scanning things besides the packs?

Hello: I Have a problem... Is it allowed to install the Mod Mopack Update checker without a hint, it is only mentioned that the Mod Arch. API needs it and so it only works in Minecraft because a warning is also displayed in MC that my IP address is also created APP Gitweb could be leaked!!!

Which ever dev made this mod made a mess. Internal name is not the same as the external jars name. Meaning you literally have to make a pack with ever mod and run the pack to see what mod jar actually owns the internal l2damagetracker

Need to use a hosting site or upload the images to the cf images tab first. Otherwiae any time the pic is accessed it tries to get the info from its saved location. Which is your pc.

Alwways had this question, when will Curseforge branch out to modding other games? Ex= Fallout, Mainly fo4, fo3, and Fnv. Yeah there ARE other mod organizers like Vortex, but seeing it done in curseforge would be interesting.
