How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

:small_orange_diamond: Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

The curseforge app and export files are not used if you want to make a 'server pack'.

The process is making a server that you know works and then making a zip file out of that mods folder, configs folder, and any other special server folders/files you want to include. Do not include the forge/fabric files - either include a readme.txt explaining what version to use and/or include script files to install them

Yes I've never had this issue either. I uninstalled curse forge, java, and minecraft to see if that would solve the issue but it won't load any mod packs that are from 1.19.

I have no idea where I am meant to get help with my current issue. I haven't played with mods in a couple months and decided since vanilla minecraft was getting boring I'd spice things up with mods. I spent about an hour today searching mods to download and I have about 4-5 now all ready to be played. Unfortunately I can't seem to download forge, every time I download forge it downloads but I go to open it and it just asks me which app I want to use to open it. Now normally my laptop doesnt ask that so I just click out and deleted it. I reinstalled the forge and it still gave me the same thing. Could someone maybe explain what I am doing wrong or maybe could I get a forge file sent to me so that I may download it to my laptop? I am new to the server and new to a lot of things. My ex did all my modding things for me the last time I played with mods so this is confusing to me 🥲

so to get it straight, you have curseforge and are also trying to download the forge mod loader on its own? if thats the case, why? when you make a modpack in curseforge it downloads forge automaitcally, IF you are making this modpack outside of curseforge via the normal game Directory, this issue doesnt have anything to do with curseforge since Curseforge =/= Forge Mod loader

Forge = Minecraft Forge, this is a modloader often just called "Forge".
Fabric = Fabric MC, this is a modloader, often just called "Fabric".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games and serves as a mod manager.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)

2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

1. Probably in mid-April I downloaded Better MC [Forge] - but I realized that I needed the Fabric version, so after the first launch I removed the Forge version from my computer. hi, so i think i need help with two of my created minecraft mod packs. they seem to be adding a weird mod names "its_raining_ores" which seems to have been deleted from the curseforge website, but is still on my system. i can only see it in curseforge, and it shows up as having an incompatible mod version. it is also a .js file and not a .jar file, and i cannot find it anywhere on my PC's files. any help would be appreciated!

i can provide screenshots if that helps but it would just be of the mod page on curseforge which is virtually empty. i could also send the mod in my list on curseforge. it also dissapears any time its clicked on and only shows in my list when i refresh the mods

I can’t get into my 1.19.2 server, it keeps saying this.
Nothing has changed with the server and it is still at 1.19.2

Variety_Aquatic-1.0.4.2.jar is the latest which work. Newer versions of the mod will get a "general install error" (for 1.19.2)

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)

Hello, I'm posting here because maybe someone will help me out. I'm trying to play Better MC [FORGE] - BMC3 (1.19.2/Forge - 43.2.13). I want to add Industrial Craft 2 to the game. Whenever I try to add it into the single player it works just fine! But when I try to add it on my server (to host the game) it crashes because of an error from the moonlight loader. The server is working just fine without the IC2 jar file added into the mods folder. Any idea how can I add IC2 to Better MC? Does anyone know the answer to this please?. Thank you in advance!
