its more likely just a cache issue, see it time to time when a mod updates, takes time your things to sync up. Usually fixes itself after some time.

So I'm having an issue where CurseForge is "updating" to older versions of mods. You can see in the photo how I have the latest version of a mod, but it still says I need to update. When doing so it reverts to an older version

Manually installing the correct version works, but this seems to be a bug in the CurseForge launcher itself

I'm trying to redownload Vault Hunters 3rd Edition after having to delete it due to memory issues, but when I do this it gives me a message in the bottom of curse forge saying "Missing file for mod "PolyLib" (ID:576589) in database. I fixed this! For anyone else having this problem:

Left click the Fabric API in your Profile, and go to the three dots in the top right corner. Then select 'View mod website'
Once there, go to Flies, then click the three dots for the version for 1.19.4 instead of the 1.20 Snapshot variant. Click 'Install with CurseForge App' and, in the app, select the profile you were having the above issue with. It will replace the 1.20 snapshot version, and you should be good to go!

to delete the files press + R
Then type in %appdata% and press enter.
Open the Local folder. Look for Curseforge folders in there, particularly curseforge-updater but there may be others. delete those.
(it will not delete your profiles/mods, those are stored elsewhere

Mods do appear on the website, so may just have to manually transfer them over to the mods folder and see how that goes

It does seem to only affect projects with files for both fabric & forge, so I'd assume the issue revolves around the app being way too overconfident in hiding results that have mixed files because it thinks "forge & fabric =/ fabric, so this isnt a fabric project" and vice versa

Hello, I am currently having a problem when trying to download the Another Quality Modpack 2 (AQM2), whenever I attempt to download the modpack it says that there was a missing mod file named "lib 39" and says "ID 661690" then proceeds to uninstall the files of the making the whole modpack unplayable

Hey guys, I have a set of individually downloaded forge mods I was playing with altogether, and at one point replaced two of them with one. All of the mods worked together beforehand, but now -- even after removing EVERY SINGLE MOD that I had, I get...
The game crashed whilst initializing game

The launcher button will say "Waiting on install" for half a minute, boot up the window for the game, then immediately go away and give me the aforementioned crash window and exit code.

5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

Has anyone seen CorseForge downgrade mods before when updating them? Example with Alex's mobs: most recent version for 1.18.2 is from 6/29/2022, but updating it rolls it back to 3/23. The launcher itself is up to date because I literally just updated it, to no avail :P. Issue persists through an app restart too

Ah ok, so unless you told the cf app itself to use the new folder location in A, its still in C. The app itself saves its files to the C drive in appdata. The folder in your C drive is all the mc related things.

I bought a new disk and decided to transfer the folder with installed curseforge games to it, so far only minecraft is there. I transferred it and specified a new path to the folder in the launcher so that it could see it. And just like that, all the icons disappeared.

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. 3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
