Im having trouble specifically with my laptop for All the Mods 8 1.0.15 . it plays fine on my PC, and on my laptop vanilla minecraft works, and dungeons dragons and space shuttles has no issues thru curseforge. my java, all drives and apps are up to date. the pathing to both the minecraft launcher and all curseforge mods i have installed seem correct. but anytime i try to launch ATM8 i get the exit code 1 error. ive also tried uninstalling and re-installing ATM8. attached is my crash report

So a friend of mine has a problem loading minecraft with mods, normal Minecraft works. It worked with mods for a while and then he just got the error code 1. We tried a lot of things to fix it. Reinstalling Minecraft or Curseforge or Java. OR delete all mods and reinstalling them. Or go into Curseforge and click on "Repair installation". We also tried to look if its just one specific mod that crashes is but all mods dont work anymore. We are now stuck for 2 days and dont know anymore what to do.

running Dawncraft with a few extra mods. One of my friends is in an area that is making her permanently crash the server whenever she tries to log in. It doesn't really crash. It gives me the option to close the application or to continue to let it run.
When I let it run and when I click it, the title card turns into this.

hey, ive got 9 mods installed (minecraft) including alex's mobs which i have found to be the issue. when i open minecraft it says that forge failed to load correctly but if i remove alex's mobs, it works fine. im trying to play on a server with friends so i can't just play without it. i've got citadel and both are the correct versions and i've repaired the installation and reinstalled curseforge so im not sure what else i can do (1.19.2)

Question about uploading a modpack. I'm trying to upload a server pack which would include the run.bat file to start the server. I've seen countless other modpacks include the .bat files in theirs, but when I uploaded mine it was rejected saying it can't include a .bat file. How do I resolve this?

CurseForge uses a copy of the mc launcher for its packs. It goes nowhere near the original launcher/ the .minecraft folder
Forge however can be installed to the .minecraft folder using their installer OR by the CF app

That would be a modpack, just a custom one. a "modpack" is a collection of 1 or more mods.
So Forge and CurseForge are 2 very different things as well. Just to keep in mind for wording. Why not just use the CF app and make a custom profile with the mods you want? Would be easier then fighting with forge and the .minecraft folder

fabric has a slightly (the gap is continuosly getting smaller) smaller api and so encourages modifying the base game code more. this is easier on developers, as they dont have to conform to an existing api like forge. however having an existing api like a lot of the stuf on forge usually encourages mod compatibility, whereas two mods that modify the same base game code have a much higher chance of conflicting.
note that these arent exclusive. you can modify base game code in forge, and fabric does have quite a few apis to use for things.

you are probably better off deleting the entire .minecraft folder, minus the libraries, versions and saves folders, and the options.txt file.
its a good idea to back up everything you delete too, so that if you accidentalyl delete something that you need you still have it

I am looking to run two separate mods at the same time; I have downloaded "Amazing FPS Booster" by Sh4d0wJ0J0, which has increased my frame rate and has some really nice shaders that I like. I also downloaded (separately) a mod from "Essential" that allows you to invite other friends who have it downloaded to your singleplayer world without LAN. Is there a way I can run both of these modpacks?

You asked about including a custom mod for your pack specifically. The answer to that is it's not possible.
You can include mods outside of curseforge if they are included in the 3rd party mod list. A mod specific to a single modpack would not qualify.

anybody know how to fix this i downloaded curse forge and when i click on it on my screen it says do you allow this app to make changes on your computer or somthing like that but when i click accept it wont load the app.
