if it is a custom profile then there is no 'updating'. you can manage mods installed to the profile and change the modloader version (in profile options). you can't change Minecraft version if that is what you are getting at

Im getting a GLFW error 65539 invalid key 3 every time I try to launch minecraft with curseforge. I checked to make sure i could launch minecraft through its regular launcher, and indeed that works. It says that I need an up to date driver, but I already downloaded the most recent Geforce Nvidia driver available. Idk why but it won't launch mc, any ideas?

If the mod author doesn't allow third party launchers to download their mod, they'll use the toggle on their project page.

Some public modpacks don't use the CuseForge modpack format and include the mod itself. When they say that they're likely referring to modpacks redistributing their mods.
It's often fine for server modpacks hosted on CurseForge, but make sure you ask for permission when redistributing, or check their redistribution policy.
I've seen some YouTubers redistribute mods publicly, violating multiple mod authors' redistribution policies. Those mod authors are trying to prevent stuff like that where such people take away from their revenue when it could've easily gone to them

The mods are not working now :/
Maybe I'm too bad at modded Minecraft or maybe CurseForge is confused. Everything seems to be correct, the Manifest.json file is there and the mods folder is exactly how it should be. But the Mods list file displays only the Fabric API. Something is wrong.

Apparently something is not detecting the mods, then it doesn't automatically references it.

In the CurseForge app, it doesn't detect anything, even though the modpack has more than 50 mods and 2 resource packs. I'll try to rebuild the entire profile to see if that fixes it.

C:\Users\Tobia\Twitch\Minecraft is the path you want to set the path too. Setting it to minecraft/instances will create a new instances folder within the instances folder instead of using the correct folders.

Otherwise can set the path to C:\CurseForge then transfer the old instances to the new instances folder

How to upload a server pack

Serverpacks are special files uploaded alongside an existing project file. If the main file is rejected the server pack is also rejected.

*In order to upload a server pack you must have a pre-uploaded export file

1. Make the server pack by zipping up the required files by selecting the required folders & files. It should include the config and mod folders at a minimum, plus anything else you specifically required to run the server. Start/Run/Setup scripts are optional. Don't include modloader files or the minecraft server jar.
2. Go to the Files tab on the project.
3. Click the name of the file you wish to upload the server pack to. The pack and server should match pack versions.
4. Click Upload Additional File.
5. Fill out the form.

go through each folder/file and think to yourself, 'did i change that file/anything in that folder?'.
If the answer is yes, ctrl + click on that.
then move onto the next one.
After you have gone through all of them, Ctrl + C to copy them, then paste them in a new folder somehwere.
Open the new mods folder, and delete any client side only mods like oculus or neat.
Then send all the copied files to a zip. That is your server pack

I did not change any files, I basically just added mods to my profile from the curseforge app and checked that everything was working together.

So I only need to copy/paste every folder that isn't from a client-side only mod to a new folder ?

You uploaded a mod which uses a other modloader. (like quilt or forge). You need to add the right Version of the mod or in some cases remove them. meachants or something is the name from the mod.

Server packs are created by the authors of the packs. Meaning you need to make a server pack if you want your pack to have a server pack
