1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)

The latest CurseForge Launcher update has broken whatever MacOS Sierra support there was. I was able to run for a long time until today, albeit with an error saying that the app does not have support for my OS version; now it does not launch outright. If you don't backup the profiles, they will be gone if you reset your computer.

So my take would be that you check where CurseForge stores your modpacks, and copy them over to the new drive.

Not a tip in general, most games usually do cloud saves (but Minecraft doesn't), so other games should be fine to just reinstall on the new drive after the reset.
But what I would do, is open the settings in CurseForge (), and then click Minecraft (), and look at the "Minecraft modding folder", and more or less make a copy of that entire folder, and paste it into the new drive, and then, when you've reset your PC and reinstalled CurseForge, you can set that path, to the new one where you copied the folder. :)

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C

6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter

10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.

3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

As for Alpha files, not implemented yet on the beta website, but we're working on it. The old website still has the same features, and will redirect you to the beta website when it's experiencing high loads, in this situation, if the beta website doesn't have what you need yet, simply wait until the old one is back from maintenance.

It states my resourcepack must also be the same license even though I use literally nothing data wise or texture wise from that mod. The current site is still running on a lot of the code that Amazon/Twitch wrote, which was inefficient and only ran well enough, in the words of one of our current devs, "because of the f*** you amount of servers Amazon could throw at it".
The beta site is the current team's attempt to write it properly to run on hardware that's actually affordable for a company that doesn't have billions in reserve.

Certain Java archive (JAR) files, such as the Forge installer/launcher JARs, are designed to be self-executing; if double-clicking the file does nothing or opens an archive manager (like WinRAR/7-zip) then you need to adjust the Windows registry to fix the file association.

Cloth_config is what is missing, bettercombat is asking for it.

Good day all 🙂 When I download ATM8*.zip and i extract - all of the necessary file arn't there? I've also tried opening the zip in MultiMC and it doesn't recognize it? Thoughts?

I think multimc dropped support for the cf.zip files. As for the zips them selves. They are formatted correctly, need an app like the CF app that supports the zip files format

Multimc had lots of time to fix their app for the new way, they chose not too. I think tho apps like CF, and thirdparty launchers ftb, gdl and atl all work with cf packs.

Question, how do I make a imported pack let me tweak it more?

I made a modpack but accidentally deleted my real profile, no problem I have the latest one uploaded but although I can mess with the files, it wont let me see what mods are available to update (for reasons I understand) but it is my modpack, how do I make it back to visually show me what mods are updatable and the option to do it?

How to add/remove mods in a modpack:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click the Add More Content button, IF this button is not there, see below before you continue.
3. Find the Mods, Resource Packs or Maps you wish to Install and click Install on them.
4. Wait for all the required mods to be downloaded.
5. Start the modpack.

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks:

1. Click on the picture of the modpack.
2. Click on the button next to the Play button.
3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be ON to modify any of them! (Currently)
