I just uploaded a modpack. It's approved no issue. I click "Install" on the website, and it says Mod installation failed. Mod is not supported by the application.

The log shows two things - they aren't using curseforge, rather vanilla launcher. Second - mods are the thing crashing the game not the curseforge app or website. People can publish broken mods and modpacks and it's not curseforge issue - it's author publishing bad stuff issue

Unless you talk to the modpacks author and get the reason why all the mods that were chosen in the pack and why their specific versions were used, plus all the config changes + scripts info... Adding mods to packs you didnt make can / will cause issues.

Better to reinstall the mods using the app, taking mods directly from other packs can also have issues, as the mods in pre-made packs are usually outdated or used for a specific reason.
Never know what issues you may copy from other mod packs when you take stuff from them. better to start from scratch

Hello. This is not even an error, but it is something that is been bugging me for a while.
When I am adding mods into a Minecraft modpack, and I click on a mod to see the mods overview, and then go back, it puts me back at the top of the mod list, and removes my filtering options
This only happens if I filter mods. If I just search without filtering anything, it works fine and does not put me at the top of the mod list. I am assuming this is a bug or some setting I am not seeing because it worked fine until about a month ago.
Is there any way to fix this?

Can anyone help me with my issue please? I created a new custom profile (farbic) with 25 mods and no resource packs. There is no "⚠️ " marks on any of the mods and no error when launching the modpack either. As soon as I load into a world everything breaks. Only mods that work are: "jei" or the "Better Statistics Screen" mod. I already tried to repair the profile, repair the installations and then create a new profile but nothing worked.

Forge doesn’t have an app, Curseforge is what you mean (they aren’t interchangeable names)

How come, may I ask, when I search for a mod in the CurseForge app, does it not first present the mod with the name that most closely matches that of the search prompt itself.
If I go through the effort of typing in the whole name correctly, why is it that the exact mod with that exact name, is not the first mod on the list..
In several cases, will the mod in question, not even appear in the top ten, why!
I searched "Better Than Mending", and I found Better Than Mending 25 mods down!
I tried to Search by name, I'm not sure what the purpose of that function is, because it's certainly not by name similarity.

as graphics drivers update these sorts of bugs become a lot more common
you could try downgrade your graphics drivers a ton, but that will probably break other games a lot

so i have like around 9 mods on the curseforge website open right now and some of them arent on the app like a certain shader i want to use so how do i put all of those mods into the profile so it actually works

it's best to use the 'add more content' button in a profile to search and install mod files. when you search it will only show mods with files published compatible with that same profile version.
for shaders you must find the 'open folder' option and manually copy the ZIP file for the shaderpack to the folder for it. for more help on that can discuss with people in a game channel

i think there is no way of fixing this as i have the same error and cant filter for them to be on top it's probably a bug or new feature that has to be implemented as it was working before but that was a bug as shown in the latest log if i am right

why is it that every few versions curseforge stops storing the search when you open a mod?
browsing "add more content" on my modpack with recent versions and I have a search, as well as filters set, click a mod, decide not to add it, click back, and I am at the top of the list with none of the filters or the search string. I have to type it back in, reselect filters, and then scroll back down 30 pages to where I was before. this was never an issue with voice, but ever since amazon took over it, and even still since overwolf took over it keeps showing up.

also, can the next curseforge site update be improved to add back all the stuff amazon ripped out of the project site? just saw the beta is live and while I want to try it, its just going extremely slow and I cant actually browse anything as it takes 10 minutes to load a link. dont know if it is restoring better functionality of project site or just a simple visual update.

Sometimes a refresh or changing between the different tabs in CF seems to help it show the correct install status. I think it was just a visual issue for you and nothing to worry about.

the error codes are part of how java functions and is baked into the java minecraft game itself published by microsoft/mojang. that system can't account for many of the hundreds of ways that modded gaming can break the operation

it could be that somewhere in the internet pipeline to cf's servers something else is being slow
internet speed tests only test your connection between a specific server that it chooses
as long as its not getting stuck it should be fine

Started experiencing network issues when opening curseforge app. Even reinstalled it and same thing. My internet works fine but as soon as I open curseforge, my laptop says no internet but still connected to a wifi.
