How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

CurseForge App: An error occurred during app startup. Unsupported state or unable to authenticate data.

I recently built a new PC and was in the midst of syncing CurseForge on the new one. Shenanigans with OneDrive led me to delete a bunch of unintentionally synced files. I may have deleted something important to CurseForge. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, to no avail.

Seems you have some duplicate mods, log doesnt say what tho. Common cases are having REI and JEI installed, which doesnt work.

i'm trying to make a server through a curseforge mod pack. i'm following the directions in the readme.txt file and it's not working. can anyone help me out?
after extracting the mods and files, there is a downloader for jar files needed to run the server. when i open that, it quickly closes itself and doesn't download the files i need to run the server. on top of that, the eula txt file doesn't automatically populate. i would have to manually add one. even when i do that, the issue continues.

On the main Curseforge launcher, the bells in the top right corner for the Holiday decorations have an error on the second to last bell. There have been projects that were approved with no files and when you made the changes to your project it was moved to the back of the moderation queue

So the best way would have been if I created the project with all things already organized, instead of editing the description after creating... cause for new projects the first review is faster

Hey, I am having trouble opening minecraft through curseforge. When I open minecraft java as vanilla there's not problem, but when I try opening the modded form through curse forge it shows me exit code 1.. Does anybody know how to fix this, thank you 🙂

Error/Exit codes are useless. Follow these steps so someone can actually help you.

1. Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Open the logs folder.
4. Drag and drop the FILE named latest OR debug into discord.

So, as a MAC user I want to install mods that are not in CurseForge; do I continue to add them to the 'Mods' file in my FINDER or do I add them to Curseforge? Also what about mods that I added previously to my 'Mods' file will they conflict with curse forge? Or should I delete the duplicates?

Not sure if anyone would be able to help me with this but would anyone know by chance how to add a modpack that i created to a server or game for minecraft? If i can't share the modpack profile i made on curseforge to my friends because it's not published, how are they meant to use the same mods? Am i supposed to publish the modpack i made? What steps would we need to do in order to get the mods on their minecraft so that we can play together? I'm new to this and Google isn't helping at all xD

Any mod that is not on curseforge goes directly into your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder through Finder. Preferably put them in a subfolder so you can find/troubleshoot easier.

If you have a mod already in your mods folder & you want it through curseforge instead, delete the current copy first. This can be done through Finder or through the app.

Never leave duplicates in mods, don't leave zip or rar files in there either. .rar files are just bloat, duplicates & zips have the potential to cause errors

Apparently you have to get support from Tebex for that stuff. It kinda seems like a waste of time though, not a single server has been added to the list and you need to install their scam webstore partner tebex to your server to have it included, which doesn't work with most modded servers.
