name it "bones stay true tweaks" and mention this addon in the description as well as that it's for my personal use

I had my minecraft opened for 15 hours to afk farm gunpowder, this lagged out my computer so i ctrl+alt+delete to restart, after it restarted i opened curseforge and it wiped all my modpacks. And now i cant even load uyp the redownloaded modpack. What happend to my modpacks?

Hello! I need some help downloading CurseForge from OverWolf. So the problem I'm having is the CurseForge install screen, the orange button that says "install". When I click the button it changes to "installing", but only for about 0.5 seconds before reverting back to "Install" (And Nothing Happens other then that). After leaving the screen and reopening it, it shows "Errorx". The reason im trying to get some support here instead of OverWolf is because no one has answered me and i also cant download CurseForge from the website.

How to repair your Minecraft installation on CurseForge

Click on the Minecraft Tab on the left side of the CurseForge App.
Click button next to the Create Custom Profile option.
Click Repair Installation option.

Hi, I've been using CurseForge Standalone Alpha for a few days. Today when I booted up my computer, the icon was pointing to an empty folder. It looks as if something deleted it. I use Avast antivirus, but there's nothing there indicating there had been an issue. I reinstalled CurseForge and added the folder as an exception to Avast. Any other suggestions how I can prevent the issue from happening again?

!mc-optifine There are other ways to play with shaders, like using Oculus and Rubidium. Optifine tends to break modded gameplay at times.

For some reason my minecraft is eating a lot more ram than it should when playing modpacks. My friends (both have worse pcs than me) use about 6k Memory but i use 14k standing in the exact same spot. Does this have anything to do with me only being able to use mods if i launch curseforge in admin mode?

I am also unable to launch minecraft through curseforge, though the behavior is different. If I hit play, curseforge looks like it's thinking (text changes very fast, don't know what it says), but then nothing happens. I do not get an error message or anything beyond that. I have tried repairing the installation, both manually and using the tool in curseforge. I have restarted my computer twice. I've looked at the log, and there is nothing in the log beyond when I played last night. I am getting no feedback from curseforge whatsoever. If I launch minecraft natively, it works just fine.

System:
i7-6700k, 32GB RAM, gtx 1080, installed on SSD with plenty of free space remaining

I should note, this applies to modded and vanilla. Curseforge will not launch either, while vanilla launches without a problem if I use the minecraft launcher.

Click button next to the Create Custom Profile option.
Click Repair Installation option.
Play game.

Sometimes pcs get weird with permissions or reading of files when a program is trying to read from the users file section. Changing it to what the above says sets the app to pull from the root of a drive, vs the users folders.

Hey im running into a lot of issues right now, I’m running apex hosting and they’ve been trying to help me as much as They can but now I’m trying to launch curseforge and I just crash on startup, I even factory reset my computer and it’s still happening :/ this is the message I’m getting Failed to download file.

Saw mc was trying to use the IPv6 addressing for resolutions, this doesnt always work. That jvm argument tells mc to use IPv4 instead.

As of march 10th 2022, you will need a Microsoft Account to play!

Step 1: Get to the Microsoft login screen.
Step 2: Log in with a Microsoft account that owns the Java version of Minecraft.
Done!

Issues: If it says PLAY DEMO then the account used DOES NOT own Java Minecraft. Log in with one that does.

In curseforge go to CFsettings bottom left, then grass Minecraft.
At the top is a file path. remember that.
Go to that file path, and then open the Instances folder there.
Copy your other folder to there. it should appear in cf (may need to restart it)

I'm not sure if this is a Curseforge or Minecraft support channel question but: When I launch my game from the Minecraft launcher Curseforge uses, It says the .jar file needed to run Minecraft for that certain forge version is missing. Wording is important!

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
Fabric = Fabric MC, this is another modloader, just called "Fabric".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!

i have no idea if anyone here can help, ive already had a ticket and taken it up with the curseforge support staff but they didnt seem to be able to even find out what the problem is, i cant run any profiles nor download or create any new ones and i have no idea what to do

Spontaneously, it feels like it could be your computer that isn't feeling too well. Could check with some malware scans, and computer health programs to see if they can spot anything. Like faulty memory sticks, harddrives/SSDs with corruption, or things like that

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

Export and Share - For Friends / Small Groups

Click the Icon for the modpack.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

Go to create a new project
Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
Click the button next to play.
Click Export.
Select the files that should be included.
Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Hello everyone! I wanted to ask for potential support regarding a Core mod's update approval.
4 days ago I have uploaded a new version for many of my mods to CurseForge (JRMCore, JBRA C, Dragon Block C, Family C).
All of the side mods got approved very quickly, but the JinGames JRMCore mod, which is required to make the others work, has yet to be approved after 4 days.
I think that it may have encountered an error as it was the first mod I updated, which also happened to be at a time when curseforge was having minor stability issues.
