by 'downloads in the future' you mean via the regular app modpack profiles then no there is no workaround - you upload a new export file and call it a new version.
if you are only doing this with a small group of friends you simply give them the export file and have them import it in the 'create new profile' option

Curseforge doesnt use the same launcher as the one in the .minecraft folder. It uses its own copy. So if the .minecraft folder mc is also not working may be something else. Launcher log should provide some info

Hi. I'm having a very strange problem with my curseforge. I've tried to Google a solution but I haven't found anyone else talking about it. Whenever I try to load any modpack my game crashes on the startup but with no error code or anything, it simply just closes. Sometimes very rarely I can complete a startup and play the game for maybe one hour but out of nowhere the game crashes again with no error code like it was just closed. I know it's weird and I'm picky about aesthetic details, but why does curseforge's standalone application have a better made windows tray icon and its context menu than the one based on Overwolf?

So uhm, was playing Minecraft and I saw monsters that grief blocks on my house, I turned to peaceful and they didn't despawn, just froze there, couldn't interact with things. I went to quit the game and it froze, had to force close it... Now when I start Curseforge, it takes long to load the Modpacks and when I click on one, it takes a while to go inside and it doesn't load any of the mods in it and even says sometimes something about "Failed to locate InstallPath" when I click to open the Profile Folder.
It's beyond insane cause it was closed when Minecraft crashed like that, no clue how Minecraft caused Curseforge Client to simply break to a point, I even have yo go to Task Manager to clock Overwolf/Curseforge now 😮

Hard to say, could be a network thing, could be a file permission issue. The launcher log may shine more light on the issue

Things like: vpns, dns servers, antivirus software, can also cause some issues. Likely will need to go step by step on this, (not the first user, wont be the last, pcs are special)

It’s not a mod issue, the launcher itself is busted.

Which could be due to a number of different issues.
There could be something on your pc blocking something, or could be a network issues. There are a set of logs and points I could look at but its hard to say atm without the logs. We can keep talking about it but will eventually need to look at things from the pc itself.
When you get home we can have a look at the different options

Also I'm trying to uninstall, but Curseforge doesn't show up in my apps or programs? But it's still installed on my computer.
Ok after deleting everything Curseforge on my PC and reinstalling the app, all seems to work now. Not sure what happened.

Theres the problem, the drive cf and mc saves to has less then 1gb of space left
Highly recommend you clean that drive as well, as that is your pcs boot drive, if it fills up to the max your pc may start to have other issues. Can move where cf stores mc modpacks but still highly recommend cleaning up space

Sorry to pile on but I'm having the same issue someone else was having, in that the CurseForge standalone app doesn't show up in my Apps & Features or Programs and Features lists. So I can't uninstall it. I'm not comfortable just deleting files like it's a Macintosh from 1992, Windows is way too fussy.
