Error/Exit codes are useless. Follow these steps so someone can actually help you.

1. Right-click the modpack profile icon OR click the button in the modpack profile.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Open the logs folder.
4. Drag and drop the FILE named latest OR debug into discord.

1. Try restarting the app
2. Try restarting your computer
3. Disable any programs that interfere with your connection. VPN, ping tunnels, antivirus, firewall.
4. Try restarting your router and modem. Also try using a different connection if possible.
5. Try reinstalling Curseforge.

Hi! I am having issues setting up Curseforge's Minecraft modding folder. I am running windows 7 (i know it says it isnt supported, if this is the root of the problem thats understandable). When i select one of the two options to set up the minecraft modding folder, i immediately get a "Failed to download the Minecraft Launcher due to a network error" message. So far I've uninstalled and reinstalled CurseForge, disabled my firewalls and rebooted my PC.

Whenever I run curseforge I can play for like a good hour until it's starts continuously crashing. I've deleted and redownloaded the mod, I cleared my cache and every yt tutorial there is. I guess I could restart my pc but I assume it'll keep doing it. I have 61 mods running and I mean that's not a lot, I've played RLcraft with more mods (Like 150 smth) and I ran it fine. (Edit It runs fine and then just started doing this randomly) And after it crashed I get this "Minecraft is already running" text every time.

Wording is important!

Forge = Minecraft Forge, This is a modloader often just called "Forge".
Fabric = Fabric MC, this is another modloader, just called "Fabric".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.

These are not Interchangeable! Please use the correct terms as it allows us to help you faster!

Mods not from cf wont show in the cf app, but should still work. As long as they are for the same mc version and modloader the custom profile is made for

So a 1.8.9 mod will not work in 1.19.2. You will need to make a 1.8.9 custom profile

How to Enable/Disable content management for modpacks.

3. Click on Profile Options.
4. Check the Allow content management for this profile option if you want to edit the content of the modpack, uncheck it to disable.

NOTE: The Allow content management for this profile option is what allows you to Delete, Disable, Update or Install any Mods, Resource Packs or Maps managed by CurseForge. It must be on to modify any of them! (Currently)

hey so Minecraft won't open with a modpack that I've been working on. It closes the launcher but doesn't not open up a Minecraft window. There are Minecraft instances open in the details section of task manager. if I open up the launcher the it will say that the game has crashed with and exit code of one. hi i have a few problems with the forge app when i try to play minecraft mods through it it asks me for my microsoft passwords that i do not want to enter. my normal minecraft doesnt need log in is there any way to bypass this

it's the official vanilla launcher that pops up where you are entering your account info. curseforge specifically launches this way to accommodate exactly what you are asking about

If you want to look at the installation of the minecraft launcher that cf uses, then you can right click on a profile and Open Folder, then go back two folders, and then open the Install folder.
Note that starting the launcher from the exe here will behave like the regular launcher, you need to start it with a workDir pointing to that Install folder if you want to launch it like curseforge does
