Don't really know where to put this but I'm trying to make my own modpack for 1.7.10 (First time making a modpack) and I either have duplicate mods or I didn't install a library mod or it just wouldn't load past the Mojang screen. There are two ways to share a modpack you've made with others...

Export and Share - For Friends to Small Groups.

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack!

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone.

This options will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to here: https://www.curseforge.com/project/432/4471/create
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations)

We were communicating quite actively (2-3 messages a day), and after my question about the publication of screenshots of this correspondence with CF tech support abruptly evaporated and did not answer for 3 days. And it's not some complicated issue. It's just a yes or no question.

odd question about optifine. Why doesn't it load on versions above 1.14 or so? It seems to work on 1.8.8 just fine, but on 1.19.2 it doesn't load: it's like it's not installed, no crashes, no error messages no anything

your files should be safe. as long as you dont manually delete the folder your stuff is saved in. As for actually uninstalling it, its the same as any other program on windows. Then just install the app again.

Can back up your pack files if your worried tho.

wifi can be unstable at random, lots of different factors come into play with it... To many to list. Try again in an hour+ or if your able try a wired connection, move closer to the source or a different network

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
2. Click Open Folder.
3. Drag the mod(s) into the mods folder. (Note: Some mods will require others, to run. Make sure to read the instructions for the mod!)

Your best bet is contacting Cox then, for some reason CF is trying to get the ip for a url (specifically https://edge.forgecdn.net) and its returning a Cox ip adress (specifically 68.105.28.18)

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows.

1. Open the CF settings.
2. Open the Minecraft Tab.
3. Click Change.
4. Click in the address bar where it says "This PC".
5. Push CTRL+C to copy the text that is highlighted.

7. Click the on the taskbar.
8. Type in gpu, you should see a Graphics Settings option, click it.

Right now I'm not able to launch anything from curseforge. It wont show up in resource monitor or task manager and restarting / reinstalling curseforge hasn't worked. There is no crash log that I can find except for 'error code -1'

For a mod to show up in the app:

• Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE or BETA
• Projects MUST be APPROVED
• Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
• Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
• Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Hello, any idea how I could manually change out the forge version of a modpack in the curseforge launcher?
One of my 1.18 packs is pretty broken and only stays fixed on forge 40.1.68, even if I try to change versions, but the problem is that some mods require higher forge versions than that, so it can't run anymore.
I've changed forge versions manually before when my forge files literally deleted themselves (don't know how that happened, but I managed to fix that issue) but now I cannot find where the version is inside of the folder. Any help?

Update: It got even weirder! Whenever I try to create any modpack which isn't using forge 40.1.68, it immediately breaks before it can even load. Any version aside from 40.1.68 is immediately rejected by the launcher. I cannot change version nor can I create a pack in a different version. My launcher is literally stuck on forge version 40.1.68.

This issue might have something to do with the fact that I attempted to manually replace a forge file inside of a modpack and accidentally broke something with the launcher?

Figured it out. Was some silliness with Wavelink program. You can set different programs to use different audio sliders, and I believe Minecraft 1.19 specifically was set through a different audio channel, causing delay.

2. Click button next to the Create Custom Profile option.
3. Click Repair Installation option.
4. Play game.

NOTE: You will not lose any modpacks or worlds!

Shouldnt need to reinstall mc, Keep in mind the cf app doesnt use the .minecraft thats in the .minecraft folder. So reinstalling that doesnt do much. Repair installation reinstalls the mc files for cf

How to get the launcher log

1. Right click a modpack / profile.
2. Select Open Folder
3. Go back two folders.
4. Open the Install folder.
5. Drag the launcher_log.txt into discord.

On Windows
Press Win+R on your keyboard, and paste notepad %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Instructions for changing CurseForge Minecraft install path!

If Minecraft is not installed in CurseForge App:

1. Click the in the top left.
2. Select Minecraft from the list of games.
3. Select the Advanced option and select:
   --- Windows: Local Disk (C:) at the left side of the window. If you do not see it, click This PC first.)
   --- Mac: /Users/Shared/CurseForge, If it does not exist, make it.
4. Click Continue.

If Minecraft is installed in CurseForge App:

1. Click the in the bottom left.
2. Select the Minecraft tab.
3. Click Change.
4. Select the location:
   --- Windows: Local Disk (C:) at the left side of the window. If you do not see it, click This PC first.)

Hi I need some help. Currently im trying to have a friend download curseforge/overwolf. After clicking download for windows, the download completes. He then clicks on the Curseforge installer, and nothing happens. Only when he downloads the Alpha version, he can open it. But with this version he cannot see minecraft in the list of games.

My project doesn’t come out on top when searching it up? How come? A lot of projects are on top that don’t even have the name.

Curseforge searches each word separately, then sorts all of those by popularity (by default, you can change that with the dropdown).
That means including common words in your search like de can lead to a lot of random seeming results

(You can see all the projects at the top have the word de in their name somewhere)
